No, because he has a better resume than Usyk.

Ward's entire legacy at LHW rests on his two bouts with Kovalev.

He lost the first of those, and the second W was acquired with considerable assistance from the referee.

He has a very decent SMW resume with Froch, Kessler and a couple of others.

This is not enough to put him above Usyk, who cleaned out CW and has a LEGIT major win at HW.

Ever since the rest of the world began to get involved in boxing, US based fighters have increasingly become more and more overprotected and overrated. Never fighting in the opponents backyard. Getting hometown decisions, favors from referees and having PED use covered up. Ward is a great example.

Oh yea Usyk by a country mile.

Usyk's resume is better even before you take it into consideration but it has a massive amount to do with it. Why do you think so many boxers are unwilling to give up home field advantage, even when there's more money for them elsewhere? It's because they know damn well how big a factor it can be.

Ward had the deck stacked in his favour, time after time. Hometown cooking all the way. Usyk had to fight the man in front of him, the ref, the judges, the crowd, everyone. To repeatedly come out on top in these circumstances is a massive achievement.

It's far from certain that Missus @Boxed Ears would agree with the above. ;)

I’ve always wondered what people saw in Wards resume to begin with. People always said 168 was trash when JC was there. Suddenly, Ward shows up and the division got great? Ward is incredibly overrated.

Listen, I get that you don't believe in the teachings of Joseph Smith Junior. I get this. But don't come to where I believe and tell us what to believe. I know my faith.

If one never is appointed, they can never be disappointed. Joseph Smith Junior said that Confusicanicus said that in Utah. And that is the number one Chinese philosopher in history.

I just looked up on Boxrec and your second sentence is literally wrong. You don't even know the outcome of these fights. I cannot talk to you about this. You just don't know anything yet. I look forward to the time when you do.

Yeah, it's true. As a man. But not so much as a boxer. The same as I always was with Spadafora. On a personal level, even though I respect their box, that is where I live. It is a matter of redemption. And I have always needed to be redeemed, ever since I was a baby. They say my mammy left me the day before she had me, but redemption is why I took her back when I won the lottery.

I'm with you here, Boxed. There is nothing wrong with being a Mormon; I have Moron friends and some of them are very smart.

    So true !
When the rest of the world was wearing bifocals, Joe Junior undoubtedly had vision.
    He had lots of visions.

So no disrespect to young Joe.

Your take is only true, though, if time is linear...and according to the Indians (the Red Indians, or whatever the right word is now...I think they are called indigents...probably derived from Indian and Gent), time is circular...one big circle.

So you can be disappointed even before you are appointed so long as you are going to get appointed later in the cycle, if the Indians are right. It's in the Lion king too...the circle of life.

It is indisputable that my second sentence was LITERALLY wrong. That's undeniable...you could look it up. In fact you did just that.

But literal truth is not the ONLY truth, Ears. There's also generally accepted truth and it's generally accepted that my statements of the second sentence are true...patently, undeniably and very obviously true.

I know this state of epistemological incertitude can be distressing for some seeking answers, but it's all part of the big merry-go-round of the universe.

Ward dominated a very overrated era of 168 and Usyk will never get credit for dominating a strong cruiserweight era.
