Can you imagine, Big Ron Lyle from that crazy fight between him and Foreman..
In with D. Wilder from his battle last week?
Throw em together and who wins?

12 rounds and no 3rd Ko rule.

Lyle. Earnie Shavers almost beat him to death and he came back to drive Shavers through the floor

If Wilder played it safe I think he would win, if he brawled I would pick Lyle as he has the better chin imo

Wilder always has a chance because of his power (though i doubt it, Lyle took some serious shots from Shavers and kept going)- but i think Lyle hit harder, was stronger and in his career, was a far better boxer.
Ronnie by KO 3 or 4

Better chin? I've seen absolutely nothing that indicates this.

Lyle is quickly turning into the most overrated heavy here. This is getting ridiculous. Wilder via brutal KO.

I'd give men like Ruddock, Big Cat Cleve, and maybe even Bruno better chances of beating Wilder (though I still think Wilder runs a clean sweep against them).

Well wilder wasn't just swinging for the fences as soon as the bell rung. He stuck out the long tree branch length limbs out targeting the body immediately. Lyle could try to time him with his overhand right, but if wilder simply takes a step back he could counter with his own right hand and that could end the entire fight.

Both have insane heart and power, but I'd favor wilder to come out on top. Part of the reason Wilder got so tired and gassed was because 277 pound fury kept leaning on him and wearing him out, and he decided to bulk himself up to 230 which might not have been the best idea for his skinny legs in a long war.

Wilder wins 6-7x out of 10 in a slug fest for the ages.

I like Lyle also. Absolute war and both men are getting hurt.
    Lyle by Ko.

I'm not a big fan of Deontay's boxing skill, but I believe it is better than Ronny's. Ronny certainly has the power to knock Wilder out and has the better chin compared to Deontay, but I think DW will outbox him slightly.

Lyle by KO. Wilder is neither skilled nor durable. He is the ultimate one truck pony.

Tough fight - Lyle was a solid boxer-puncher and a rugged competitor.

Wilder has shown that he has no quit in him. But he'd have to put something together to get Lyle out of there, because I don't think beating a prime version of Lyle would be a one-punch solution.

Lyle, on the other hand, needs to nail Wilder and then keep swinging the axe.

I'm going to favor Lyle on coming out on top, here - by latter-half stoppage or a close decision win.
