270 lbs fury would be the best. He can combine everything at that Weight. And there is only one Deontay Wilder so no need to box like this in The upcoming. Fury has everything nowadays.
He's abandoned his gypsy slickness His head movement is almost nonexistent now, with the exception of when The Tuscaloser was up close swinging wildly. This content is protected This content is protected
It's hard to tell if he's regressing on a real decline. He's been out of the ring for 18 months so he wasn't as sharp as he should be. Let's see how he looks in the next fight.
ranking his last 5 fights in order from best performance to worst. 1. Wilder II 2. Tom Schwarz 3. Wilder III 4. Wilder I 5. Otto Wallen
Fury didn't impress me anywhere near as much as i thought he would. He's getting overrated because he beat the exact same limited guy for the 3rd time. It's ridiculous. He dominated Wilder which is impressive but he beat Wilder significantly easier in their second fight, and easily outboxed Wilder in the first fight while coming off the couch so the hyping doesn't make much sense. Fury was inactive yes but so was Wilder and Fury was the one with the better trainer am i right ? The fact that Fury didn't look that good says more about Fury than it does Wilder. Wilder looked no different than the second fight besides the bodywork in round 1 during their trillogy. As a matter of fact Wilder actually looked slower. Those shots that he tagged Fury with throughout the right and the shots that he dropped Fury with were powerful but they were not fast at all. Wilder's infamous "quick hands" were nowhere to be seen and he was telegraphing them so bad you could see them from space but he still tagged fury more than what was comfortable. When Wilder went for the finish in the 4th it was laughable how sloppy, unskilled and slow he was. He was as slow if not slower than Joshua was against Takam. You cannot make this up. People writting off Usyk need to watch that 3rd Wilder/Fury fight with glasses on. Fury was incredibly sloppy on the front foot. He is no Lennox Lewis. Usyks movement will expose that.
Tyson did not look as slick for the trilogy but it was well documented and alluded to that he was not fully fit, these early reports pre fight buil up proved true. We will have a better gauge of Fury next time he fights and if he’s also fully fit .
Fury has been in decline forr a while. The Wilder fights and weak opponents chosen mask the decline. Fight a young who's ranked not named Wilder who isn'y young anymore.
There is no streamlined regression or improvement with Fury. His entire career is a rollercoaster, you never know what you are going to get. That has not changed.
Thank you. Im in full agreement The reason Fury looks so good is because while he's an elite fighter, it's also because he fought the same limited guy 3 times who he clearly dominated in the first fight apart from the couple of knockdowns. It's no coincidence that the only other arguably world class fighter that he fought besides Wilder in the last 6 years (Wallin) took 4 or even arguably 5 rounds of of him and hurt him in the 12th. We'll get a good idea of how much Fury has improved (or declined) in the Whyte fight, provided Whyte even gets past Wallin (he probably won't). Fury totally played with prime Chisora several years ago so he should do the same thing to Whyte.
Even the son of Zues will fall to time, dawn approaches. The chronicles of Fury will soon draw to a close All hail the gypy king
I think deep down it was difficult for him to get motivated for a 3rd Wilder fight. I thought he was too heavy. Especially for a fighter not named Wilder. I want to see a properly motivated Fury in his next fight to make an assessment. I do believe he is in slight decline but that he can still be very good. If he continues to drink and not take things serious he can be picked off soon. 33 at his height and weight is like 35-36 for other fighters.
