Thanks for proving my point. Clenelo looks drained and drawn 8 years ago. He doesn't look anywhere close to the hulking thick set monster that is breaking arms and faces today competing at 168-175.

Are you saying Clenelo was in peak form 8 years ago in 2013 at 152 pounds?

This version of Canelo as fought men nowhere near a prime Mayweathers level. Remember, he's only started looking beastly since his move up to 168. Look at those opponents. You cannot argue they are as good as a prime Mayweather.

Just so you understand. I am speaking in terms of H2H, not a 168 Canelo against a 147 Maywrather.

Canelo has a bad reputation in mexico I will leave it at that. They keep it under wraps because they want him to be a good example for mexico, but he's not a good person at all.

Not physically. As far as his skills go, I say he worked on some things after Mayweather. That's why I asked the question who has he fought since FM, with the the diffrent skill set that leads people to believe this version of Canelo beats a prime Mayweather.

Yes, I've always said the best Clenelo (right now) vs. the best Floyd is an impossible matchup. What I do know is that current Clenelo would kill any version of Floyd because he wouldn't be drained and would be 30 pounds heavier. So Floyd didn't fight Hulknelo.

I see that. Canelo has gotten craftier, no doubt. But, if you're being honest and objective, you can't say the version of Kovalev that Canelo fought is anywhere near the level of a prime Mayweather. You and I both know, a good fighter can look great against lesser opposition. I believe that is the case with almost all the guys you mentioned, aside from Golovkin and Lara, both of whom, have an argument that they beat Canelo and not in their prime. In my opinion Canelo has gotten more power and developed a counter punching style since the FM fight, but hasn't beat anyone that tells me Canelo 2.0 beats a prime FM.

Not the version that beat Yerldrim. CA had zero head movement, no jab, launching lead power shots that Mayweather or any defensively aware fighter could see coming a mile away. FM would make CA miss all night.

Canelo is a great role model. Impeccable character, always conducts himself with respect and honor, unless you disrespect him, his team or his family. Then you make it personal. Examples of his true respect for his opponents is when he KO'd Khan, instead of celebrating he immediately dropped to his knees to see if Khan was OK. That is how a true sportsman behaves. When he KO'd Kovalev, he motioned for the crowd to lower their cheers to make sure Kovy was OK. That's how a true sportsman behaves. No one works harder in the gym, no one is more of a gentleman inside and outside the ring than Canelo. More fighters should model themselves after Canelo.

It makes me laugh because this was a Floyd Mayweather at 36 years old way past his athletic prime against a 23 year old undefeated world champion with over 40 fights. Wake up and smell the coffee. Canelo had been a professional boxer for 8 years. Maybe he had not discovered Clenbuterol.
