At light heavy Eddie Phillips best result; as far as I can see was a draw with Len Harvey, yes? Can you direct me to where I can see Eddie was ever top ten ranked? I confess I haven't seen Philips on film ,and perhaps we have different definitions of class? It should be said Reg Gutteridge who knew McAvoy well, included him in his book , The Big Punchers, but then he included Hagler, whom I would not have put at the forefront of the discussion.I suppose, you pays your money and takes your choice.
I think all the biggest candidates have been listed. Certainly the elite ones. Another guy who hit pretty hard but wasn’t one of the elite was a man named Freddie Delgado. Journeyman level fighter though
That is only because Saad knocked them out twice before Spinks got them. Mathew softened them up. LOL
Bob Satterfield Bob Foster Lloyd Marshall Michael Spinks Archie Moore Yvon Durelle Artur Beterbiev Matthew Saad Muhammad Michael Moorer Bob Murphy Oakland Billy Smith Tommy Gomez Sergey Kovalev Billy Fox Peter Maher Bob Fitzsimmons Adonis Stevenson Marvin Johnson Eddie Mustafa Muhammad Oleksandyr Gvodzdyk (Idk how to spell) Roy Jones Jr Freddie Mills Antonio Tarver Are all notable murderous punchers I can think of...
Spinks. He had some power. He took out Yaqui with one punch. Took out Johnson with one punch. I don't think I ever saw Yaqui get knocked out like that. Saad Muhammad was heavy handed too. Eddie could crack too.
Surprised to see people putting Kovalev above Stevenson. Kovalev was the better fighter but with one shot Stevenson had lights out power
The answer, you bunch of hipsters, is This content is protected . followed closely by Michael Spinks.
1. Bob Satterfield 2. Bob Foster 3. Lloyd Marshall 4. Michael Spinks 5. Archie Moore 6. Bob Murphy 7. Artur Beterbiev 8. Michael Moorer 9. Matthew Saad Muhammad 10. Yvon Durelle This is what I think my top 10 is. 1-6 is my solid pick but from then on it's debatable for me
