The bookmakers have made Cyril Gane a favourite against Francis Ngannou.

Why is Gane a favourite in this fight?

Gane matches up well with Ngannou in size, strength and athleticism while being way more developed technically both in his striking and wrestling, (he does lack power though). Ngannou has a good chin and insane game changer power but again, hes less skilled and his gas tank is questionable.

Its a super legit fight, Tough to call imo.

 

I am picking Gane to beat Ngannou myself. He looks a way better overall fighter than Ngannou. Remember the Ngannou from the first Stipe fight and the pathetic performance in losing to Derrick Lewis fighting scared. Of course Gane is the favourite, he has looked class in the ufc against some solid opponent whereas Ngannou has had some pathetic performances which I mentioned alongside some brutal finishes. Ngannou might win but you would have to have Gane as the favourite pre fight.

 

Francis looked decent destroying Stipe, Gane is unproven at that level.

 

As mentioned earlier Ngannou has some great performances and some pathetic performances. Which one will turn up against Gane ? We shall see.

I think they are both overrated, it will be close but cagey, if it goes the distance Gane will win, it might be a snooze-fest.

Ngannou is unhappy with UFC brass too and may just want to roll down his contract and take off for free agency asap by the sounds of things

I think he's believed to be a more complete, less one dimensional fighter.

 

That will be a factor, but he`ll have to keep his rear hand high enough to parry the leads, he could get caught by the hook that destroyed Stipe.
