If he goes back up to light heavyweight and unifies that division after this, then we could start saying those types of things. So far he has without a doubt had a HOF career but can I see him beating a RJJ , James Toney, Marvin Hagler, Or Monzon? No But with his accomplishments so far and if he were to unify LHvy next if he gets by Plant ( which he should ) then maybe somewhere in the top 50. But he will also always have Floyd hanging over him and the GGG fights as well.
It has no bearing on anything since it was due to meat contamination. Fury on the other hand is a drugs cheat because his excuse doesn't hold water with the International drug testing community. Yet for some reason no one ever uses that against Fury like they do against Canelo.
He could beat both Toney and RJJ. Monzon was a jab merchant and slow, similar to Golovkin. Canelo could beat him too. Hagler is the only tough mission here.
I say Canelo "could beat" Monzon. I didn't say Monzon can't beat Canelo. Monzon was flat footed and slow but he had an ATG level jab like Golovkin. He could outjab Canelo but Canelo could land more and cleaner power punches. Canelo by MD is my thought.
Yeah, the least one can say is that if Canelo is a drug cheat then Fury surely is also. But for some reason that seems hard to accept.
Yes, but nothing compared to the storied name & God level ranking that he will become when he inevitably fights the meteoric rising Jake Paul.
This isn't a hard concept to comprehend. Fury did not have a valid excuse for his failed drug test, therefore he's a proven drug cheat. Canelo had a valid excuse that the International Drug testing community recognizes, therefore he isn't a proven drug cheat. Meat contamination is recognized by WADA as a legit problem in Mexico. There is no such meat contamination problem in the UK or in regards to what Fury popped for.
Canelo said it was meat contamination, that don't mean anything. Did you think he was gonna come out and say, shucks you got me? He got busted.
He didn't just "say it" and that was the end of it. It was investigated and his whereabouts were cross checked. The restaurant he dined at was contacted and they confirmed he dined there and ordered steak. There's no doubt about it that he dined with Bill Clinton at the Sonora Grill days before the test. There's a photograph to prove it. What more do you need as proof that he ingested contaminated meat at a restaurant?
