How ?? He outweighed GGG in BOTH fights on fight night. He was never smaller, but he did turn into a miniature incredible hulk lol

Nope, just cut more. Walk round weights you think G is heavier ? No chance

Same reason Hagler never, he could make 160 with ease, plus whatever side you believe it was only the ward fight that never happened, cotto, Martinez, Sturm, loads avoided prime GGG, whoelse would you have liked him to fight bar ward ? He fought everyone else, and mostly the big names he was past prime when he fought them

Cotto is understandable. Canelo waited long enough, but G was still a beast when they fought.

How did Canelo wait to fight Golovkin when Golovkin was his third fight at MW and his first fight above 155?

The question should be why did Golovkin wait around for a Super Welterweight to move up to 160 when he had other opportunities or could have moved down himself.

GGG also won the fights. Canelo won the GGG lotto with undeserved draw and a win.

How did Canelo wait ? He threw the middleweight belt in the bin. You not know that ?? Yeah won the belt then relinquished it straight away. Terrible

Chavez jr was his first fight above 155lbs and Canelo was huge without a ounce of fat at 164.5 i think it was.Canelo is naturally heavier than GGG it seems.

:risas3: There is no way he starts at 140 or 147. How can you tell someone's musculoskeletal structure by looking? That's like looking at Yarde and Kovalev and saying that Kovalev is the smaller guy. He is actually the bigger guy, who is a natural at the weight. When you look small at a weight, how can you move down?

Golovkin in 2012-2018: I'll fight anyone between 154-168

Golovkin in 2015: Except you Canelo and Ward.

If Golovkin wanted it he could have owned to his words and taken on those challenges and many others.

Again, why was Golovkin waiting for a Super Welterweight to move up when he had said he would fight anyone between 154-168?

Why didn't Golovkin own up to his word and fight Ward at 168, or any of the 154 guys who were calling him out?

Why didn't he accept Canelo's challenge to fight at a cw of 155?

Canelo could have moved up sooner. But hey, Golovkin could have moved up too. Not placing fault. Good strategy regardless.

GGG got off to a slow start with the wrong promoter, smartly he moved to USA and got with new trainer Sanchez who Absalutely believed in him. It's amazing how much that will do for someone. Getting on HBO was another great opportunity. Part of what some people have a problem with i would guess is how Able was saying GGG would fight anybody from 154 to 168lbers. Both Able and GGG knew that GGG could hang with or beat anybody in those weight divisions. They did want to unify and get fights like Martinez, Chavez jr, Cotto, Sturm, Quillin, that for some reason never panned out. Ward, Canelo , and Cotto were mentioned in GGG promotional music video's. The fact that he didn't go out of his way to fight Ward after this seems to have bothered some. GGG doesn't really seem like the type to bulk up. I really dont think he has any thing to prove at 168lbs, he would do quite well even though he would be small for the division. I am a little disappointed in the fact that he hasn't shown real interest in fighting Andrade," a very easy fight to make" or Charlo. If he fought Murata and wins, then Andrade and Charlo next to unify, win or lose, it would be a good way to go out, especially if he wins. These are great options without Canelo. Even at 39 or 40 i think GGG is still a bad ass when motivated.
