It's just a matter of applying common sense to a situation, and not taking everything that happens at face value. Lets try this, Canelo beat GGG. He got the decision, therefore he won. But yet you think GGG won right. So that's "spin". But he lost Wiz. But Canelo was "suspended". We don't have to agree with everything that happens, apply common sense, give your opinion on what you think should have happened, provide reasoning that backs your opinion as to why what happened was wrong, that's part of being a fan.
They are 4 pretty good examples of how corruption keeps a boxers supposed record alive. No one in recent times has gotten a fair crack of the whip against either Canelo or his blue print Floyd. Those two ALWAYS got the advantages. I have absolutely no respect for either
He's supremely skilled CJ. It's like saying that Mike Tyson's opponents never had a fair crack of the whip or Roy Jones Jr's opponents never had a fair crack of the whip. When you're as good as Canelo is, or other dominant ATGs, most of the time it's not a fair fight because one fighter is facing an uphill battle because he doesn't have the skill or power to match his opponent. This is boxing 101 CJ.
The accepted way of settling any dispute or election is to set up a poll. Everyone interested is offered a chance to vote. I have yet to see Canelo win any poll of any sort. He' loses every one by at least 75 % to 15% With 10 % a draw. Clowns like you & IsaL refuse to accept this even though it is shown in black & white Canelo GGG in every poll. Go search even in Mexico & you'll find fans world wide admire GGG & dislike Canelo Why?? Because GGG is a FIGHTER!!!! Canelo is nothing but a manufactured champion & a disgusting Peds cheat & they'll tell you that . Give it up youre making fools of yourselves
First of all, polls rarely are a representation of truth. If they were Hillary would have won in 2016. Secondly, you're an ass. You're disrespectful, and a bitter old man.
how else do you suggest we find out what the majority think? me disrespectful, old & bitter LOL You aint got a clue, You & your idiot buddy disrespect the forum members here constantly purely because they do not agree with your ludicrous claims. Oh BTW Where have PimpC, JM22 etc gone?? Don't have them backing you any more do ya ?? lol Hilary was never in with a chance of winning lol
You don't need polls to score a fight. It isn't American Idol. I know many of you think it is but boxing has a very defined scoring criteria.
No but you need 3 honest judges & an unbiased referee. These ludicrous scorecards of late prove that either those judges are crooked , or they are absolutely incompetent. The polls merely tabulate which fighter is considered best. Ive yet to see one with Canelo more popular than GGG In fact the polls PROVE CaneloGGG overwhelmingly
Poor isal doesn't even know how the US electorial system works Let me give you a hint. It's not based on proportional representation.
How is he potentially top 20 and: He's never cleaned out a division he's campaigned in? He could realistically have 5 losses (during his physical prime)? In his "official" loss, he was unable to defeat the old HOF'er on his resume, which most in the top 20 did as a "right of passage" Credit to him that at SMW he's actually attempting to defeat everybody at the top, but again, he didn't do this at any other weight class. So no, he isn't even close to top 20. Canelo is very good for this era, elite even but top 20 ever.................stop. Floyd and Manny barely crack the top 20 ever for context IMO.
Not really a cut and dry question. Queensbury rules published in 1867, 15 round championship fights introduced in the 1920s? and 12 round championship fights introduced sometime in 82 after the Mancini / Kim tragedy. Where does Canelo fit in all of this? He's probably in the top 20 since 82, but all time? I have no idea, my knowledge of the sport doesn't go that deep. The world is a big place, there could be a guy out there we have never heard of that has Canelo's number. Can't we all just refer to the current era and wait a decade or 2 after guys like Canelo have stopped fighting to judge their position all time?
I always wonder who naysayers think he should be fighting. You mentioned beterbeiv and Bivol at 175... I think that's fair, but it does SEEM like he's gonna go up to 175 after plant/ Benavidez at 168, so this might happen anyways. What names can he put on his resume that would put him closer to ATG? Charlo, GGG, Andrade? Obvs Bivol or Beterbeiv would be massive names, and he's definitely talked about going up to 175 for those fights. Let's be honest if he beats either Bivol or Beterbeiv at 175 that's impressive as he's realistically a 154 - 160 sized fighter.
