Usyk vs. Louis.

lol! Louis would have destroyed all of Usyk`s cruiser opponents with ease and hit harder than Usyk, I don`t know if Louis could have took the right hands AJ caught Usyk with though.

 

Nah Louis is overrated in H2H match ups. Usyk is a terrible natch up for him stylistically anyway. The man to beat Usyk would be Lennox Lewis, not Joe Louis

 

Maybe but Louis was a better combo puncher than Louis and as is Usyk.

 

Combination puncher sure but Lewis is the better infighter than Usyk and way bigger than Louis. Louis had slow feet and arguably got outboxed by Walcott and a middle weight ffs. He's amazing for his era but he wouldn't know what to do with somebody like Usyk. Lewis has the tools to beat Usyk. Not Louis. Lewis would pressure Usyk in spots like he did against Mavrovic and would also be controlling the range and his straight rights were deadly. Lewis also knew how to steer an opponents head into uppercuts with his lead hand and his gas tank and boxing ability was far superior

Lewis was on another level to Joshua. Usyk vs Lewis would be an amazingly competitive fight. I think Lewis would win a close decision and his aggression, infighting, and ability to control and maintain distance while working from that would be the decider

Lewis got caught time and again by Mavrovic. Lewis stated in 2006 that his fight with Mavrovic was the most awkward win of his career.

 

Fighters were expected to 'put on a good show', but there was no such thing as legislation against movers. They have always existed, from James J. Corbett to Gene Tunney, and beyond.

 

Sure. Usyk is trouble, no doubt. But so is Louis. His fight cross - the southpaw slayer - might have been the finest we've ever seen at HW.

 

Lewis clearly won 10 out of 12 rounds and schooled Mavrovic in the 12th. Did you even watch the full fight ?

No he wouldn’t mark, there’s couple that pose problems in hunter an Gassiev and then Breidis probably can beat Louis
