No way, Fury was just about to finish him, that rematch was nothing like this recent fight it was completely one-sided, Wilde4r floored Fury in the third fight for God`s sake! He got dominated and that`s that, no way woulfd he have got to the 9th, he was getting pulverised.

They should have established the super heavies as in the Olympics not the bridger.

To me it's going to burst a big chaos. I hope USyK will be able to unify even for this.

yes, “Super Heavyweight “ is a better moniker but I suppose they can’t just change titles & force that on Fury who legit won the WBC Heavyweight Belt.

    it’s quite a mess.

Usyk can turn it all upside down by unifying.
He is the only lil big man who I think has the skills capable of it.

It's a mess, a real mess. Soon people will not understand **** with the belts. Already the federations have instituted all those interim titles that are ridiculous now they have created this new division that will increase even more the number of holders of fake belts that will then increase or decrease in weight only for economic interest.

It's a real shame because the heavyweights are experiencing a magical moment with spectacular fights between people like Fury, , Usyk, Wilder, Joshua, Ruiz, Whyte and Joyce after the dark years of the Klitschkos where boxing had become a sport only for practitioners.

I just hope that people like Wilder Usyk Hrgovic and Hunter stay in the heavyweight, otherwise people will soon become disaffected with boxing again.

That's one way of looking at it.

Another is to consider "heavyweight" to be synonymous with "open" or "anything goes" - in which case new categories are constructed below it, not above it, because what's above an open category? How can that even make sense?

Cruiser was constructed below heavy, why not bridger?

The change in weights at open category level need only apply to current fighters, so that we compare apples with apples, and it's fair.
If that prevents some historical-vs-modern mental masturbation games then I'm fine with that - you want to talk P4P historically instead? Go ahead, it has just as much true merit.

Of course, people like Wilder will be able to fight at least other 5 or 6 years more thanks to this clownery.

When you evaluate Wilder you’d have to say that he has power in the right , a desire to win, and a very limited skill set. He can see openings which he learned over time and he is somewhat durable for a man with legs the size of a middleweight. He went far in a career that was carefully crafted and the matchmaking was designed for him to learn on the job and he went further in his career then anyone would have expected especially since he started so late in boxing. His intentions in getting involved in the sport were admirable and it has afforded him opportunities in life he would never have had if not for boxing. He let people around him inflate his ego so much because he was knocking out everyone he was facing until he stepped in with an elite level fighter. He then couldn’t comprehend or appreciate all that he had achieved and made bad decisions and excuses for his own shortcomings in the sport. He seemed to forget why he started boxing and what the goal was and didn’t appreciate all he was given. Instead he became self absorbed calling himself a king and saying he was blessing people and not listening to the people who got him where he was. Sound familiar?

We really should think about Wilder more.

There are actually some threads on this board where he isn't mentioned at all.

Can you believe that? What else is there to talk about?

PBC should make a fight between Wilder and Andy Ruiz. Wilder would destroy Ruiz easily and do immense damage to AJ's resume in the process, sending much of this board into meltdown.

Wilders been exposed by Fury; no stamina, no boxing skills, to ko him hit him on the left ear.

So, the key to beating Wilder is survive past 3rd rd and clock the dosser on the left ear, he'll be in shambles.

Most of the board think aj and wilder are useless dossers, dosser drama won't send anyone into meltdown, just fits of laughter
