As others have said, AJ and Wilder need to get it on next he ain’t ready for the Usyk rematch.

Joshua really could do with some confidence building fights if he’s serious about contending again, but it seems he’s past that and is probably counting down the legacy fights left before hanging up his gloves.

May as well have the eliminator with Street fighter which although a dangerous fight for both it will garner massive interest and serve as a worthy cashout for the loser.

So he wants to learn something new to beat Usyk in 6 months with that kind of attitude ? I don't see it.

    Not enough:
    Time
    Courage
    Stamina
    Heart
    Hunger
    Boxing IQ

All he has is a lot of money and best trainers available, but they will not help when he is alone with Usyk.

Whilst I would certainly enjoy seeing the fight, it probably will be a few years down the line when Joshua has run out of options.
    Because
    1) it's still a dangerous fight, and Wilder no longer holds a belt
    2) it wouldn't surprise me if Joshua doesn't want to give Wilder a pay day any time soon
    3) even if Joshua loses to Usyk, Fury will still want to figt Joshua because of the money in that fight. Joshua would likely still be able to be in big fights against the likes of Whyte, Joyce, Dubious, even Ruiz Jr. again.

But yeah it will be a fun fight when it eventually gets made, but I think Joshua might keep Wilder hanging around waiting on a retirement, cash out fight.

AJ has been exposed twice now by two very different fighters. He’s all but done, especially if he loses once more it’s a curtain call on his career then. Even if he were to win the title back from Usyk, everyone knows it would be just a matter of time before he loses it again.

Nah, that would be one of the biggest drop offs in sports history. People still pay to see Connor McGreggor take a beating
Joshua has a big enough fan base that he will be fine I suspect

Joshua can try to project it all he wants, but he doesn't have the killer instinct to be a destroyer, the chin to be a brawler, or the skill to be a tactician. He needs to figure out what worked for him in the past, go back to it, and if it's not good enough, so be it.

What worked for joshua was being a come forward aggressive fighter.
Again mentally i don't think he can go back to that, wlad took him to places he didn't want to go and he doesn't want to go back their again.

82 replies and so far and not one, excluding OP have been positive towards AJ

    lmao

Personally I think Usyk should be very scared after listening to that diatribe at the end from AJ. Very scared of getting bored to death in the rematch build up.

The only thing AJ was pretty much bang on was about how much he has achieved, he pretty much has done all he can falling short a couple of times which would be expected given his flaws. No shame just something he has to learn to live with.

He said he stopped being aggressive vs Usyk because he felt “depleted” after 3 rounds even after he cut size to focus on conditioning. Worst gas tank of any HW champ in history.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. He needs to do more of this & less of the "Mr Nice Guy" shtick like he did when he was taking pictures & smiling with Usyk before the fight (he did the same thing with Ruiz).

I'm not sure either one of them is "real" tbh, but I could for sure do without smiler. Remember him hugging all those Mexicans after Ruiz smashed him, they were literally queuing up

When was Joshua ever a brawler?
You can still be aggresive though by stepping in with the jab getting yourself on the front foot by using that jab and reach.
Don't give ground use your strength and size, that's the way he can intimidate but frankly I don't think it's in him.
He didn't even seem wounded by the defeat it just seemed as though he shrugged his shoulders spewing all the i'll learn from this bull****.
I think Usyk will beat him easier second time round.

Well it’s different circumstances to when they were talking about the undisputed fight a few years ago.

Now they’re both beltless and are aiming to prove who is currently number 3 instead of top dog.

No point making Wilder wait he’s already 36 and just been through a war so now is a good time to get at him as who knows what he has left.

There may not be any 50 mill offers on the table from America but it will still do big numbers, and I don’t think AJ cares about giving Wilder a payday they’re both financially secure already.

It’s a 50/50 fight and that’s how the money should be split although Hearn would argue otherwise no doubt.

It's not my money, but 50/50 would be incredibly optimistic for Wilder.
