This feels a lot like those "would Manny be #1 all time if he beat Errol Spence?" threads.

In the end, it didn't happen.

I'm not sure if I can rank him over Fireman Jim Flynn, tbh. That dude had some kinda tires named after him. Cuz he was a str8 up TANK.

41 year old Wlad was still a great fighter. Past him prime, but would still probably be a top 5 fighter today.

I think 41 year old Wlad could even beat anyone around today, even if not the favourite.

Good fighters can lose to lesser fighters, Joshua is not the first man to lose to someone lesser.

People only call Ruiz "pudding", which is a name you always seem to call him, because he's fat, but look at fat boy Fury!

Ruiz is an above average fighter, you're acting as if he's just a punching bag with no quality? He has skills, and has never been knocked out before, and arguably only has one real loss on his record as some people think he was unlucky to lose to Parker, who was fighting in his home land, and that it should have been a draw.

You disrespect Ruiz to make Joshua look worse.

Plenty of good fighters throughout history have losses to Ruiz level fighters or worse on their record, but many of those fighters avenged their losses.

You need to take into consideration that those losses can be avenged, and if they are avenged, then that fighter has beaten every man he's faced. Does that not count for anything to you?

You call be a fanboy, but I always present an argument on this subject, and all you ever have to say is "rice pudding junior".

AJ is not a AYG and is nowhere near to being an ATG, I don`t know if you`re delusional, Usyk completely exposed him.

My logic is that if Usyk is ATG, like many people consider him to be, if Joshua beats him then what does that do to his resume?

No, because being an all time great requires longevity, not random one-off wins. And as it stands, AJ still has a lot of work to do before he can say he cleaned out the division. Only when he does that, then maybe he can qualify.

Have a feeling that the Ruiz win won't mean that much in time. I think he's this generations Douglas, Takam isn't a great win either. Pulev a sold in but unspectaculr.
If he KO's Usyk certainly makes his record decent. His best win is an aging Wlad at the minute so a KO vs Usyk would do him the world of good but then I think he would need to beat Fury to even be considered as an ATG.

He won't have Wlad longevity so he's needs real quality opposition. Wins of Fury and Usyk added to his already solid list of victims like Whyte, Povetkin etc would maybe make a conversation but I don't see him reaching it.

I think history may see AJ as more hype than substance but he has time yet
