Right now the UK has 6-7 guys in and around the top 20 in the world.

If the fights can be made, it could be a massive few years for UK HW boxing.

Obviously at the top you have Fury and Joshua, with Whyte just behinf them.

Throw in Joyce, H.Fury and Dubois, and maybe even Fabio Wardley and you have the making of some great domestic fights over the next couple of years.

The key word is if. Knowing track records, it is unlikely to happen unfortunately.

    Adeleye is going nowhere.
Wardley gets thrashed the first time he steps up.
Bakole has found his level, it's the same one as Kuzmin.
Hughie loses to everyone in the Top 10.
Whyte gets brutally KO'd against most of the Top 15.
Chisora might pull another upset, but won't be a top fighter.
Dubois might be able to beat a decent fighter, without a jab.
    Joyce is a flawed beast
    AJ is a wounded beast.
    Fury is inconsistent beast.

This post pretty much says "I'm a jealous American who hates the UK"

Bakole isn't even listed as being British, regardless of where he lives.

What is the top 10? If Parker and Ruiz are in it, Hughie beats both. Helenius too and I wouldn't rule him out at all against Whyte, Hunter or Joyce.

Nice try dickwad, but a fail. I'm an Usyk fan. Aside from Hunter, I couldn't give even close to a **** about American Heavyweights.

I need to see a little more from Hughie than Hammer taking a dive, to convince me he's capable of beating anyone in the Top 10. Parker has already beat him, he's not better than he was when he fought Parker. Ruiz batters him from pillar to post. Getting clipped twice by Arreola doesn't mean Hughie is a shoe in for the win.

Hammer quit because he was being battered and had no hope of winning, it was a better performance than we've seen from Yoka, Ortiz and Povetkin in recent years. Hughie also did far better against Wach than Whyte did and better against a younger and less worn Povetkin.

If you think that Hughie has made zero improvements between the ages of 23 and 27 then you're smoking something strong. Any fighter who trains diligently, gains an unparalleled amount of top level HW experience for a man his age and matures physically is going to improve a lot. These days Parker needs corrupt officiating to give him the win against old warhorse Chisora and Hughie is a nightmare stylistic matchup for a fighter as sluggish and stubby as Ruiz, who loses several rounds over 10 to the likes of well over the hill Liakhovich and Kevin Johnson.

You're acting like the top heavyweights are nothing to write home about, no need to be so negative about them. The UK's heavyweight scene is really strong at the moment, I must begrudgingly admit that as an Irishman no less.

    Dickwad? Extremely American, confirmed.

Yeah cool mate, I'm sure you never cared when there was Bowe, Foreman, Holyfield, Tyson, Ali, Louis or Frazier

You're damn right I'm extremely American? And? What of it? That has **** all to do with who I root for. I regularly root for foreign fighters over American fighters. Including rooting for Brits over Americans on several occasions. So me being an American is entirely irrelevant in this or any other discussion involving boxing.

As far as the guy in the 90's that you mentioned. No, I can't say I ever cared all that much. Quite frankly I never even thought about it. We didn't have the internet back then, so like everyone else, I'd watch the fight, then go on about my business, which usually entailed doing my homework for school, hanging out with friends or watching TV or a movie. Like a typical teenage boy.

Since Hughie has lost to the three P's.... Pulev, Povetkin and Parker, essentially showing a pattern of losing to everyone with a pulse. Means we can't make an accurate assessment of just what is true level is against a live body. As far as Yoka goes, I fully expect hm to be violently KO'd the first time he steps up, and Hammer is 4 and 2 years removed from being beaten by shopworn versions of Povetkin and Ortiz. I've never rated Whyte, so who cares.

Let's see him actually fight someone who can and will punch him back. Then we can make the determination as to whether he's made any improvements or not. Andy fought Liakhovich and Kevin Johnson 7 and 3 years ago. So are we supposed to assume he hasn't improved since? I mean, he only managed to beat Anthony Joshua, no biggie right?
