Claressa Shields always brags about fighting male pro boxers. But what about a boxing match between female pro boxer and power puncher Savannah Marshall (11 pro fights, 11 wins, 9 by KO) ( 30 years old, 5′ 11½, 165 pounds) and a regular guy like me (33 years old, 6', 220 pounds), untrained in boxing, but regular cyclist? It's not the regular "man vs woman" stuff because Marshall is said to have insane punching power which is unusual for a female boxer. I discussed the topic with a friend. He said that she would knock me out cold. I replied that I have never boxed in my life, but my weight advantage could help me in a fight so I could survive or even win. My buddy totally disagreed. We discussed this for about 30 minutes, but couldn't agree. What do you think? How many rounds would I survive? Would she KO me? Or could I even win?
Savannah is going to take women's boxing to another level. She has it all. I've a decent amount of amateur experience as a light middleweight. But she's bigger and waaaay better than me. Savannah would ko me in a few rounds and i think that goes for most blokes , even those with some fighting experience. Obviously different once you get to the bigger guys.
Average guy would get KTFO. But a fringe male contender who hasn't fought for a few years gets off his barstool would wreck any female boxer.
This is why big power in woman's boxing is even more important than in mens boxing and Marshall will KO Shields.
She'd KO the average man without much difficulty in a boxing match. If it was a real fight where the man was allowed to wrestle then he'd have a considerably better chance, especially if he had a size advantage.
You would win. You would use her weaknesses against her by aiming for the chest in clinches and generally roughing her up.
She would beat the crap out of any male (without fight experience) in a boxing fight. Street fight is a different story tho. One Takedown and she's done.
