I don't think so, Plant in itself isn't that impressive a win it's just that it means he unifies all the belts which does add to his legacy but not enough to see him break top 20 for me.

Canelo clearly does rank pretty highly, he's only 1 of 21 boxers to win world titles at 4 weights but you have to factor in it's now easier than ever to win titles at multiple weights with more weight divisions and more titles. Plus he only beat Kovalev at light heavy, so I don't think you can say he's really ruled 4 weight divisions.

If he moves up and beats the best at light heavy cleaning the division out then you could at least make an argument for him being maybe top 20 but even then that's debatable as their have been so many great champions.

Thankgod Floyd officially took this mans 0

    The hype would be unbearable.

Lost to a 40 year old lightweight

Canelo is a rock solid don't get me wrong but he's beating Plant and people are talking about how great he is for what?

Look clearly Canelo has skill but he is no special from many other fighters.

He lost to a 36 yo Mayweather. He robbed a 36 yo GGG twice despite being the fresher younger guy.

He weight bullied much of his career at 154 crushing tomato cans and old men. When he stepped up to Trout he won an extremely competitive fight where you could argue a loss. He clearly lost the Lara fight. So his career at 154 isn't exactly stellar. Not in the slightest

At 160 he robbed oldie Golovkin twice and beat dehydrated Jacobs by very close decision (some had it 6-6, I had it 7-5 but could argue 6-6, likewise coudl argue 8-4 Canelo). Jacobs showed his level when he robbed limited Rosado blind. I've never rated Jacobs highly tbh, he relied a lot on weight bullying

After this Canelo sees the shocking easy pickings of 168 and beats no hopers Callum Smith and BJS. I'm not even going to go into the context behind those meh wins as it should be obvious.

Don't get me started at Canelos ventures at 175. His fight with Kovalev was without doubt a fix/sparring session. And for some insane reason you don't think that's the case then it was at the very least stacked to the point of totally incapacitating Kovalev. This was the first fight ever where that thoguht (of a fight being a fix) came to mind. To make things even worse, he just pissed off from 175 after. Come on, you give us a fake fight then do that

In summary, he has done nothing of the sort to have his p4p1 status.. In fact he should have any p4p status revoked permanently

The cherrypicking, the card stacking etc is just a spitting on the face of fans. And you have idiots who lick that shite up (Shaderp, Isil, and minus 22IQ)

The delusional calling those who see it differently delusional? Typical fanboy stuff. A "marketing bot"? I see a lot of these theories about Canelo as just a means to do some kind of damage control for GGG. Lets face it Q, a lot of posters here predicted GGG would beat Canelo and most predicted he would hurt him or KO him. Well that didn't happen, so to save face all this Canelo detraction stuff is just a way to explain away what happened without admitting you were wrong. Without giving credit to the better man. It's being a sore loser Q, anyone can hide behind a keyboard and make excuses about why somebody lost. That's not how I roll, making excuses is weak, it's far better to take your L's like a man and "Man Up" rather than live your existence in a trail of tears.

Here comes the excuse train. This should be fun.
If you don't think Canelo is special you DKSAB. Lets just make that clear.

Yeah he lost to a 36 yo Mayweather who just happened to be the unanimous P4P #1 at the time. He fought him in Mayweather's backyard while sacrificing himself at a catchweight to make the fight happen. Canelo was outclassed that night by a more seasoned fighter who was still at the top of his game, but he fought Mayweather tooth and nail in route to a close MD. Canelo dared to be great and fell short, but not without gaining a lot of experience and learning in the process.

He "robbed" GGG? No, silly, he beat GGG. If anyone was robbed of a win, he was after that first fight, he out-ring generaled GGG, made him look foolish countless times while fighting off the backfoot and off the ropes and making GGG pay for recklessly walking into punches.
"Clearly" lost the Lara fight? "Spin" "Spin" "Spin". Pretty much everyone agrees that was a close fight. You're on an island arguing that was a clear Lara win.
He dominated Jacobs, you again trying to pull a spin job, not gonna work. The judges had it so close only because they took pity on Jacobs and gave him some close late rounds when Jacobs finally started being competitive after getting schooled for the first half of the fight. It's sort of ironic that you call Canelo a weight bully then at the same time call Jacobs a weight bully too, and fail to mention that Jacobs didn't even attempt to make the rehydration clause when he fought Canelo. Jacobs managed to beat Derevyanchenko in his previous fight while having to make the reyhdration clause required by the IBF, but vs Canelo he decided not to even try to make it, and you still say he was dehydrated?

The whole point of Jacobs deciding not to participate in it vs Canelo was so he wouldn't be dehydrated. Your arguments have more holes in them than Swiss Cheese!!
Both were undefeated fighters, both at one time were said to be all wrong for Canelo, and many on here predicted they would beat Canelo. Remember when Canelo first stepped up to fight Rocky Fielding, and many said he needed to fight a real World Champ at 168 like Callum Smith. Then he does precisely that, and not only beats Callum Smith but completely undresses him winning every round and utterly dominating him and injuring his bicep in the process. BJS supposedly had the skills to give Canelo all kinds of problems, and we saw what happened to Billy Joe.
OK Mr. conspiracy. So it was either a fix or it was stacked against Kovalev? Cool story bro, anything you can come up with to discredit Canelo. If the brutal KO wasn't convincing enough for you. Q do yourself a favor and stop embarrassing yourself. I know you're ravaged by what Canelo did to GGG but this is getting sad. Learn to take L's like a man, "Man Up" instead of crying about Canelo constantly. You're clearly obessed with this man, it's not healthy.
LOL that excuses summary. The "damage control" summary. His P4P status should be revoked? LMAO you'd like that wouldn't you. Unfortunately your dreamworld of what you think about boxing and what should happen has no basis in reality.

Just on the whole the deluded ramblings/shite arguments of a hardcore fanboy/bot. You're not fooling anyone. Love how you pick up and use the words/ phrases used against you to others (like "spin" and "face").. Almost as if you're learning, like a bot

    Making excuses is weak

You can call it an excuse, but this so-called excuse is backed by the WADA and recognized by the international drug testing community. So it's not something that's without basis. Don't you think there's a difference between something that is made up out of nowhere by fans vs something that has precedence which has been put forth as a legit problem by organizations that are seen as the authority on the matter?

My goal isn't to fool anyone, it's to educate and poke holes in faulty arguments. As far as using words and phrases that have been used against me in the past, I've seen the same thing happen with words and phrases I've used in the past being used against me. I try to be original, but it also can be effective to use one's own attacking mechanisms against them like a boomerang. I think it's important to focus on the substance of the matter, rather than the vocabulary used.

    They recognised a problem

Canelo utilised that recognition to his advantage

    Its very possible

    Cotto
Golovkin rematch (many feel he lost)
    Lara (many feel he lost)
    Jacobs
    Smith
    BJS
    Plant
    Kova
    Trout (many feel he lost)

Close loss to a 35 year old Golovkin and a 36 year old Mayweather cruised through him.

Not really that close to being a top 20 ATG, imo.

Id be surpised if he was a top 75.

Education doesn't require ego. Like for example, the tainted meat situation. If you weren't aware of the meat contamination problem in Mexico, then you weren't educated about it. I don't see how there's any ego involved in educating the ignorant on the meat contamination problem in Mexico. You know, frankly, when it comes to ego, I've seen a lot of GGG fans trying to lecture me and other Canelo fans on how to score the Canelo GGG fights. I always try to maintain a willingness to be open-minded when it comes to differing opinions on how matches should be scored, and trying to give the best reasoning I can to support my conclusions. The real ego problem I see is when people try to tell you that they are right and you are wrong when it comes to scoring matches or anything else. I really pride myself on not having an ego and just talking openly and honestly when it comes to boxing.
