The "best" left hook is Joe Frazier.

Morrison did throw that hook with some speed.
Tua could throw it pretty short and compact.
    Tyson pretty compact and fast.
But Frazier man he just worked that hook up down and down and up like a piston.

Yeah, when all you have is that punch, and it gets you to the world stage against elite fighters, it's probably pretty good.

yeah I get you,but I wanted to keep the poll small with just 5 fighters, that's why I added "other" option,so that we could discuss further, great pick :)

My point exactly. Which means they have a better left hook.

No sweat brother. Your options are fine. I wasn’t critiquing your opening list. I meant surprised as in their names not coming up in discussion thereafter but someone beat me to the Mauler anyway. : )

Harder or not, there can be other aspects to also consider like speed, frequency of use, variance in application etc.

I only care about how hard they hit with it.

it's justifiable imo he had a tremendous wallop.Frazier's was more easily," reloadable" and fired .Tua had monster power, Cooney too ,Dempsey,Louis, Ruddock's was a booming shot ,but not particularly accurate.Liston had a huge hook too,as did Cleveland Williams.

Exactly. It more so than anything else took him to a #5 - #10 heavyweight ranking. He was extremely reliant on it and it came up trumps.

If you believe harder makes it better than your understanding of boxing is minus 0. It's that simple.
Power is only one aspect of boxing, sad you don't know that.
