    I know where Ajagba fought Olu. And i know where Azumah Nelson jr is fighting too :risas3:

    Your ban is coming soon. You're no good Olu. Your posts are sh*t, your threads are sh*t and you're still denying reality. Very soon it'll be all over. An era in the forum without Olu G. Rotimi

    That's fair enough, but it's only really Ortiz that has built his whole legacy off his win against Jennings.

    Personally I was okay with Jennings being ranked in the top ten himself, just from consistently beating fighters outside the top 20. But the reality is when we look back at what Jennings achieved... Jennings never actually beat a single fighter ranked in the top 20. i.e. he is the perfect gate keeper to the top 20. If you can beat him, you are a pretty solid contender. But he is not the guy who a supposed elite Heavyweight bases their whole career off of overcoming.

    Bryant Jennings is a solid gate keeper for the top 20
    In the same way as Chisora has been shown to be a solid gate keeper to the top 10.

    So for me, I have no real way of knowing where to place Ortiz, but with his wins over Jennings and Hammer, I am comfortable with the idea he was somewhere between top 5 and top 15. But for one reason or another he just hasn't had the fights against opponents who would have given us a better idea of his real standing in the division.

    @NoNeck Does that seem fair?

    Jennings beat Perez, who was top 10 by The Ring, took the zero off Szpilka and beat Fedosov. He lost 8-4 to Wlad in the fight before Ortiz which was the most trouble he'd had since Sam Peter. That's how he got the top 5 ranking. He wasn't the same after being inactive when Rivas and Joyce got him.

    Ortiz never looked bad in a fight and possessed the best southpaw counter left heavyweight history. His performances while aging against Wilder showed how good he was.

    Might even have another one or two left in him.

    I never use the Ring as the be all and end all, because they are owned by an American promoter and have a clear history of playing favourites. Kownacki has a string of wins, and his resume is likely better than Jenning's, and Kownacki was also ranked in the Ring's top 10. But where is Helenius in their rankings after sonning him twice?

    Personally, I prefer going off PBO which is using an algorithm calculating purely off resume. It has seemed to produce the closest to what I would consider a fair reflection of a snap shot of the division, far better than Boxrec has, and far better than the Ring.

    Spilzka was ranked #21 as I recall, Jenning's highest ranked win. And we saw what Wilder, Kownacki and Chisora all did to Spilzka.

    However, I think I would agree with you in that you have to go off the eye test, with Ortiz. I agree he looked great against Wilder, but ultimately he failed the test twice. Hopefully, we get those one or two more fights you mention. But the gap between Wilder and Jennings is a little too big at the moment.

    FOH. Dough Boy Kownacki would get battered by Wlad if the fight happened tomorrow. Wouldn't have a chance in hell of losing 8-4 when Wlad was lineal, unified.

    lol if you say so
    You are the one saying FOH
    Jennings won a single round against Klitschko on one of the judges cards. He was there to survive. Sorry if it hurts your assessment of Ortiz.

    They are to you that’s for sure. AJ, Ajagba, Ike the President Ibeabuchi and I are all superior to a muppet like you.
