James has no power was getting hit too much he wasn't going to win the fight and was taking alot of punishment. Good stoppage IMO.

The way James is speaking... confirms it was a good stoppage

James classy in defeat here giving Butaev his credit, he can still be in some entertaining scraps but I feel like this fight might have taken something out of him.

    1. Butaev is a force of nature at 147lbs and you have to have a lot of juice to keep him off. James showed a lot of determination to stay with him for as long as he could. Shango will remain one of my favorite fighters simply because he attacks as hard as he can when hurt, but Butaev just mugged him for extended portions of the fight.

    That said...

    2. Celestino Ruiz freaking sucks as an official these days. James was definitely bothered by a body shot. but had successfully deflected the followup punches and was clearly in command of his senses. Horrible stoppage. Prior to that point, a horrible point deduction from Butaev for working legally on the inside. I cringe every goddamned time I see him reffing a fight these days, since he finds a way to make the fight about him.

Good hard fight. But both fighters deserved better officiating.

James was taking a beating the last 4 rds. He looked tired and kept turning his back to Butaev as well as ducking very low.

Stoppage seemed a bit premature but James was done. He got nailed with some very heavy shots right before the ref waived it off.

James gets savagely brutalized for 7 rounds straight, Patricia Morse Jarman has him ahead by a point. She and all of these other corporate whores should be permabanned from the sport.

Also watching the replay, his body looked like it was starting to go a little limp, the punches seemed to ripple through him.

He wasn't reacting well, backed up to the ropes and wasn't firing back.. it was a good stoppage in my opinion.

    This is getting silly now

Lisa Giampa: Loma vs GRJ 114-114

Patricia Morse Jarman: Loma vs Nakatani 78-73

She gave Nakatani 2 rounds in a fight he took a beating and lost every round

Julie Lederman: Lopez vs Loma 119–109
