This is how I see it. He did t like getting to light felt to weak. With modern weight training steroids etc he could easily be 220 as his walk around weight was 210-215. Wether he would be as affective is anyone’s guess. Maybe yes maybe no I’d lean towards yes. He was a better version of Tua who was similar in size (not weight but Marciano may have been like that today).

He was 184lbs in his era when he took the title. With some discipline he'd make light heavyweight without losing a pound of water.

He would be a super middleweight no doubt about it he could push the envelope for middleweight if he tried and seeing how he went he may stay there.

He might not be willing to half kill himself, just to reinforce his 21st century detractors argument?

Half kill himself to lose 10lbs? He was about 17% bodyfat with very little muscle tone he'd be fine the only time when it becomes an issue is sub 8% bodyfat which he wouldn't need to get close to he wasn't big enough for cruiser quit your hero worship nonsense.

How could you even begin to guess what his body fat % was?

A guy with any sort of muscle tone is going to be well under 17%, you don't start to see that until you are under 12%.

I can by looking at him and seeing countless dexa scans in my life.

He was chubby and soft with nothing visible when he was relaxed don't make me laugh.

Show me a relaxed photo of him where you think he looks 12% or pipe down with that nonsense.

Look even if he was 12% he could still lose 10lbs

I have been as low as 12%, without having visible abdominal muscles.

He was likely under that number.

Certainly at 17% he would not have had any sort of definition.

He doesn't have very much definition at all. and is nowhere near 10% bodyfat for **** sake that is there about what Manny Pac is

You don't have abs at 12%? are you incredibly unmuscular or lean in other places? Did you get a scan?

Basically you need 9% or les for a six pack.

Um? What was the point of that? you posted something from Healthline and expect me to take there word as gospel?

I'll throw my experience out the window then- Dexa scans be damned.

Manny Pac is about 10% at Welter I want you to look at Rocky for the resemblance.

My point is, that this is what I have generally heard, from multiple sources.

I don't want to dismiss your experience, but perhaps your are claiming to be able to predict, something that is very uncertain?

I once had my body fat 5 checked, before and after a 100 mile race.

It dropped from 15% to 12%, and I wouldn't have looked like Rocky Marciano in either weigh in!

I mean, I can't believe we have to have this again, but this is something that is done by the majority of fighters. Some really do "kill themselves" to lose ten pounds - when they are ****ing featherwieghts.

Losing 10lbs to get from 184 to 175 is a party. It's not even hard work by modern standards. At. All.

You are one of the guys on this forum that likes Marciano's "brutal training regime"? His "indominatable willpower"? The idea that he would be terrified of "half-killing himself" seems absolutely directly opposed to the way Marciano is rightly and normally represented on this forum. He is absolutely built to lose those ten pounds. He's the perfect example of the type of man who would lose those ten pounds.

I personally think he would lose a lot more for a lot longer, but the idea that he was skin and bone at 184lbs and couldn't safely lose another 10 is ignorant of modern weight-making science, which has been discussed with you in this exact thread several times down the years.
