Whyte did it. His choice to duck Wallin was a winning one. With Fury he will get the most important pursue of his career as he wanted.

His hopes to win the title? Zero.

Fury will destroy him after the 5th imo.

    Thoughts?

    Whyte is Chisora level.

Fury beat Chisora as a southpaw without taking a punch or getting out of first gear.

This is relatively easy work for a focused Fury. Whyte will always have a shot as Fury could unravel at any minute in the buildup against lesser competition. Somehow I don't see this fight happening, I think Fury will find a way to avoid it. He simply cannot get motivated by fighting gatekeeper level fighters.

    Mismatch.

But it will draw enough fans to make everyone a lot of money.

If Fury thinks he can just show up and win, he's going to get clipped.

If he trains properly and takes Whyte seriously ... easy work I think.

He'll just have to keep Whyte at bay for the first 5 rounds, then that's it.

Whyte obviously isn't Chisora level, but he will probably be beaten more easily than Chisora. His punch resistance was shattered by Jack it Joshua (credit @Jurgen)

For the British fight it was going to be Joyce, Whyte or Chisora after beating Parker.

    Right choice.

The build up should be the best part.

I think heavy lobbying to the WBC has taken place from both DAZN/Matchroom and Top Rank. Possibly with threats of action if Whyte's mandatory status wasn't recognised?

Harsh on Wallin, think we all have our suspicions on the injury.

As a British based fan however I'm pleased. It would be nice to see Fury fight here again in front of a large crowd. The build-up with Whyte could be amusing, two guys who are happy to play up for the cameras with plenty to say for themselves. I don't give Whyte zero chance, think you're underestimating him there, but obviously Fury should be a heavy favourite depending on which version we get.

Top Rank must be a bit gutted that the mandatory will be enforced before they get a chance for the unification fight (presumably the AJ rematch prevents that happening in time?). The next fight of Fury's is his last on their deal, so if he beats Whyte he could come out of that a free agent just at the time either AJ or Usyk will be available for the biggest HW fight of this generation.

He's 33, had to have a rematch after the extremely close first encounter with a shopworn Chisora. Got battered by Joshua save one left hook moment, got ICED by Povetkin. His level is very comparable to Chisora. He's liable to lose to at least 10 guys ranked lower than him (why do you think he ducked Wallin LOL). His technique is fugly and ineffective at an elite level.

The worst part about this is that, Ayydamn, isn't on the forum anymore to fight for his boy.

Whyte will bring his best to the fight but don't see it being enough to stop Fury. He'd need to stop him early or he'll gas.

The IOP (Institute of Puddings) lobbying the WBC has been very successful in this case.
