Is Mundine still headlining the Django Browne card?

No Mundine is fighting some exhibition in Darwin. Django v Browne has been moved to Brisbane.

Apparently the Tszyu-Inoue card has turned into a super welter showcase. Nice to see you Aussies have depth at 154 - obviously a lot of good domestic matchups but wouldn't mind having some Brits coming over sometime in the distant future.

Whats everyone's thoughts on the 8 x 2 mins for the Gal fight?

I'm not a fan of 2 mins rounds but if Paul wants to fight league playing debutantes he has to expect they aren't going to jump straight into 10 x 3's which suits him a lot better.

It's a dumb fight this bloke is a not even a well known first grader but he was trying to get a free lunch and fight Gallen over 4 x 2mins which is pathetic.

I've got to be honest I'd never even heard of him but once I looked him up I remember seeing him play a couple of times.

To tell you the truth I hardly followed NRL over the last 2 years. I used to know just about every player on every team but now I couldn't care less.

I would back Gallen to absolutely maul both the Paul brothers they wouldn't want anything to do with him.

I have no idea why he is even bothering fighting this bloke nobody knows him it is his pro debut. Do you know if this is the main even on a PPV? Might have been ok as a filler fight on the Tszyu under card to rope in more casuals.

Uncle Gal knows how to make the public think this is a legit fight.

I'd say it will be a PPV..with maybe some other league players on the undercard and Bob Mirovic getting an uber up from the Central Coast to make a comeback.

A couple of years ago I would have said 154 was by far our best division. A lot of the top guys aren't there anymore though. Horndog could have made a run at a world title at that weight but has disappeared back into his kennel up in Queensland. Daniel Lewis retired after losing a decision to Sebastian Fundora in the US that was closer than the scorecards suggested. Michael Zerafa is banned by Main Event for pulling out late against Junior Tszyu while Dwight Ritchie (RIP) is deceased. Those were our top guys at Junior Middle. There is depth in the division as evidenced by all the guys who are fighting next Wednesday fortnight. Hoping for a Wade Ryan win in particular. It's nice seeing a guy who was willing to take tough fights against the best opposition at the drop of a hat as an opponent get rewarded by featuring on these shows as the main support. A win against the Japanese & he's got a legitimate claim to being our second best currently at the weight. There appears to be much greater breadth & depth of talent at that weight in the UK. That's all the more reason for them to come out here though. To pick up some international wins against beatable opposition.

He's so unknown he could rob a bank without a mask. A complete Neville. He appears to have got the start by virtue of the promoters' connections to Manly. Manly fans might have an interest in the fight but no-one else will.

Yep if it is just another NRL card I am not interested. I reckon Gallen should be targeting the Aussie title if Huni vacates.

    Why did Daniel Lewis retire?
I really enjoyed his effort vs Fundora.

He was offered a fight with Junior Tszyu after calling him out several times but promptly retired when it was given to him. He cited personal reasons at the time & that was that. He possibly should have collected the Tszyu paycheque before going but perhaps he had another career lined up. He performed well against Fundora I thought. It was more of a 6/4 type fight than what the official judges scored.
