I also notice money constantly bumps old threads, and maybe 95% of them are always old school vs modern boxer threads. He immediately picks the modern guy, then tells people they're ignorant or trolls for disagreeing with him. If he is annoyed by people who pick old school fighters why are these the only threads I see him engage in? Kind of crazy if you ask me. It's like he wants to be annoyed or maybe he wants to feel like he's smart by siding with the "correct" opinion and pointing out how dumb other people are.
I went from great amusement with moneythetroll to irritation. Now I'm back to amusement. I honestly wonder if he's simply the alter ego of some other. more coherent and far more knowledgeable member. Actually, that could be anyone else here lol!
This is actually a good observation about Louis h2h abilities. You can say what you want about his competition, but the sheer number of title defense combined with his fairly aggressive front footed style where he'd open up with powerful combinations left him open to a lot of incoming shots. The facts of the matter are that he was only stopped twice in 69 fights. The first one he had to be nailed by dozens of right hands and pounded into the canvas over and over before being stopped late by a skilled technician who kept exploiting an opening. The 2nd was at the very end of his career after being relentlessly pressured by a very hard hitting prime swarmer. That is hardly evidence of a weak chin. He'd have more KO losses with his style if that was the case. He faced plenty of big hitters and took the shots well. You kind of have to concede he either had a decent chin (definitely not granite), or his defense was underrated. I don't buy the "his offense was his defense" argument. There's plenty of footage of Louis with decent quality and he was not just constantly going on the offense to keep his opponents from hitting him back. That description fits a relentless volume puncher or brawler. Louis had a good jab, and could feint, parry, counter, etc. He could bide his time and stalk opponents as seen in the infamous Conn bout, he wasn't just throwing a barrage of shots every round. Even if for the sake of argument you're convinced Louis just had a weak chin, Holyfield wasn't some ATG puncher. He could crack, sure, but he's not going to just waltz in there and pick Louis apart. He's going to get hit too, Holyfield got nailed by guys with way less handspeed and skill than Louis.
One of the funniest posts I've seen was when he defended his refusal to punctuate anything or write in a somewhat coherent manner. He said it was "his choice". I find that a little difficult to believe he could simply do better if he felt like it. There seem to be 2 possibilities: -either he is sorely lacking in basic grade school writing ability (in which case I have to wonder why the hell you joined a forum where you have to write to engage with people, and you insist on engaging in lengthy debate which requires even more writing). -he is writing poorly on purpose to annoy people. The stupid arguments and utter lack of basic boxing knowledge only become that much more annoying when people can barely understand what is being written.
If you don't think Louis would become champ in the modern era, that's one thing. There are actually arguments for that. But if you actually sincerely agree with him that Louis would not even make it as a 4 round pro boxer? No, neither of you have great minds, let alone great boxing minds, and have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I am not trying to hurt your feelings, I am being completely honest. You really need to study the sport before you get on here making bold declarative statements.
I would say great eyes can see alike which me and you both can see good I like how the liars never can show by video how im wrong I always can prove my facts by video of advances never shown in Louis era but he so called can win well when it's not shown by video of him dealing with any fighter with movement and skill of a 70s-90s I say that means he wouldnt win If I was so called wrong well why cant anybody ever just prove by video how im wrong or white ether nobody here ever shows us anybody with advances that I can always prove for any man that would destroy the Louis era and anybody before that era if we get proof we wouldnt be putting down those eras we would argee we have no problem agreeing if its shown to us I dont apologize for being able to see good and not lying or acting like I cant see advances on video clearly anybody with good vision can see
Conn and Walcott both moved well and had tricky footwork and skill. Louis went 4-0 against the two of them. So I have no idea why you're under the impression that anyone with good movement easily beats Louis. But then again I'm sure you think Conn and Walcott have far worse footwork and skill than the 70's to 90's boxers so this is probably a waste of a reply. I mean you're the same moron who thinks Louis wouldn't make it as a 4 round boxer today when guys like Chris Areola and David Price made it in the top 10.
no legend Im the same so called moron who like I said can see louis and the whole era was to outdated in movements shown here This content is protected This content is protected I can see legend bowe circling around smoothly also can block while moving around punching I can see bow bouncing on his toes sitting up shots Conn has shown none of that advanced movement Jersey showed he had the most advanced movement out of any black and white pre ali era but still Jersey was unpolished he still never looked as smooth in his defense and movement in feet as frazier or holy or others so your wrong agian shown here This content is protected see how when he ducks he will sometime go into the punch instead of backing up after a dodge his footwork is still not as polished as 70s frazier look at how jersey feet moves to side as if he has no control of them he also had his feet to spread apart engaging instead of moving feet when he had his timing right other details i wont point out that is outdated in jersey movement my point is always the movement they used was trash compared to 70s-90s not As in the era itself like I said I wont lie or act like my vision is bad just to argee to to louis or anybody else outdated I have no reason to im not into making myself feel like a idiot just to be accepted by people who so stuck in past they pretend to be blind
You just claimed Bowe was smoother than Conn, and that Joe Frazier has better footwork than Walcott. We're done here. This content is protected
I'm reflecting on how 4 other posters agreed with that statement in that thread, so I guess you believe they're on the same level too Kamikaze. And how multiple other people have also called George an arm puncher. Or the fact we have dozens of clips of him arm punching.
