    I don't know why but when I read Marcus Antonius Barrera, it made me chuckle a bit. Not sure if it was intentional or not :lol:

    Carlos Zárate, Lupe Pintor, Julio César Chávez Sr., Érik Morales, Israel Vázquez.

    And I'm going to include Antonio Margarito and El Feroz, because I don't care.

    I was never a 'fan' per se, sometimes I'd root for him, sometimes against him, it depended who he was opposite, but Juan Manuel Márquez is one of the purest men who ever existed in the sport.


    Loved watching Siri, and I should include him, too. You'll still see some guys talk about him like he was just a gutty, busy brawler. It's one thing to note his heart, toughness, stamina, that's right enough, but, if you didn't come away from his fights feeling like you just saw a quality offensive technician, you didn't deserve the privilege of watching him work — a bagful of acquired skill, learned on the job, in addition to all that bonafide never-say-die attitude and durability/endurance.

    No mortal should be able to go to the well that many times while driving Uber.

    My favorite was Marcus Antonius Barerra:lol:. I still think to this day that he beat Marquez.

    I have a lot, from greats like Julio Cesar Chavez, Salvador Sanchez, Ricardo Lopez... to more recent greats like Erik Morales, Canelo, and Juan Manuel Marquez....

    To high action fighters who are not as polished but great to watch like Daniel Ponce De Leon, Orlando Salido, Miguel Berchelt... etc..

    I like most Mexican fighters not named Canelo Alvarez, Emmanuel Navarrete, Mikey Garcia, Luis Nery or Oscar Valdez.:D

    Mexican fighters I love, both active and inactive includes Antonio Margarito, Oscar de la Hoya, Erik Morales, Vergil Ortiz Jr., Robert Guerrero, William Zepeda, Orlando Salido, Giovani Segura, Hernan Marquez, Juan Francisco Estrada, Fernando Vargas, Francisco Vargas, Miguel Berchelt, Abel Ramos, Brandon Figueroa, Jose Zepeda and even Ryan Garcia to name a few.

    I don't like the a typical style associated with Mexican fighters, I like more technical and defensive fighters so MAB and JMM are my two favourite Mexican boxers as they didn't fight in the usual Mexican style and were more technical.

    It is the original Latin version of his name which I personally prefer to the English version of Mark Anthony. I like the Spanish version of Marco Antonio as well but the Latin is the best and even more warrior and gladatorial like the great general.
