Williams as a welterweight hovered around 160 pounds by fight time.

Margarito after he had already become champion was recorded to be as low 149, but that was when he was still quite young. He eventually settled around 160 in the bouts he is most well-known for.

There are two phases to Jacobs' career at middleweight. He was as low as 170 pre-cancer, and only 176 against Golovkin, supposedly.

Rocky makes light heavyweight today. I think eventually he makes the climb to cruiserweight where he'd be undersized.

For comparison, the Rocky that actually existed was only ever around the light heavyweight versions of Spinks and Moorer in size. In modern times, he could cut a portion of that to hold a slight advantage over lower weight fighters at super middleweight and light heavyweight, in theory. But I disagree that hypothetical match-ups against Ward and Calzaghe can be both prime-versus-prime and a fair fight pound-for-pound.

Most of the great heavyweights of the past would be cruiser weights or less today. There are some exceptions such as Jeffries or Liston who were narurally big men with tons of muscle. They used to argue, yeah but Joe Frazier would have 15 pounds on Marciano. And Ali or Holmes would have 30! These days it's worse than that, a modern super heavyweight has 50+ pounds essentially a three weight class advantage and some of can fight. The rest have natural advantages in height, and reach. You don't see middles out moving up to say cruiser do you? Just the same cruisers rarely are successful modern heavyweights. Don't say Usyk, He's 6'3", 220 pounds with a 78" reach and a southpaw, and Holyfield was PED small heavy who is 1-4 vs Lewis and Bowe the best big men he faced. Size matters & the game has changed to a long-range bombing art with jabs and power shots or clinching when up close. There's no country at heavyweight for the 167-205 pound old timers. Sorry, that is the trend for the last 20 years. If that was idea size you'd see it at heavyweight.

Rocky against anyone under say195lbs would be titanic.Marciano v Qawi,Beterbiev,Dempsey,Langford, Schmeling.
I think it's enough to say he could hold his own, and possibly emerge victorious against these names

The figure I have for Margarito was when he weighed in at 150 and came in at 165 for Pac.

Here's what Boxrec has to say about Jacobs against GGG:

"IBF title at stake for Golovkin only, as Jacobs did not show up for the morning of the fight IBF second weigh-in required 170 pounds or less. Golovkin weighed in at 169.6 pounds on the second day weigh in, while Jacobs was estimated weighing around 180 pounds during the fight. There was a noticeable size advantage for Jacobs."

Check out his fight with Lewis where he was below 150. Kyvelos is another match of his where he was 155 on the night (same as Mosley against De La Hoya in their first go-around).

Jacobs was 170 for Pirog. I don't remember my source for his fight against Golovkin.

I'm not sure what you're arguing. Never said these guys never came in lighter just that they did drain 15-20 lbs and have provider sources for it (Margarito's weight on fight night is also on Boxrec).

I'm not arguing, I'm stating. You said you didn't have figures so I gave some of the information I had on hand. I was aware of Margarito's weight for Pacquiao.

He was a pretty ripped 185 to 188 pound guy ... I don't see him making 175 .. he could bulk easy to 200 but it would most likely not help him .. he'd be a cruiserweight today at about 192 or so and destroy at that weight with modern training .. he'd be even stronger with even more stamina and a bit faster to go with an iron chin and murderous power .. he'd be a slightly better version of what he was, a beast ..
