Dimitry Bivol and Matchroom

Yep, Bivol has been horribly inactive. He was supposed to fight John Ryder in December, but apparently that is postponed and we'll see if that will happen at all.

 

In fairness Covid did kind of have an impact on the Eastern European fighters the most as far as activity.. I’m sure Eddie has something up his sleeve which is why he’s trying so hard to get Danny Jacobs that Joe Smith fight..

 

Yeah, Hearn is terrible for Bivol and Gonzalez. They deserve more money and fame than Haney and Andrade.

 

Clenelo ducked Bivol.

 

Eddie Hearn sometimes signs fighters just to bench them to protect his more popular fighters. Bivol and Hunter are good examples.

Bottom line is that Eddie Hearn HAS got the money and resources to make multiple fights per year and to offer them to every fighter he has but he chooses not to and these fighters cannot earn as a result. He has managed to get Canelo over $100m for 4 fights and put on some weak cards as well. Why not give everyone a fair crack?

How many new subscribers are now coming to DAZN because of Canelo. Is paying him $30m per fight sustainable? How long before they start losing money and finally want to sacrifice him against a big threat like Beterbiev for example?

There should be contracts with clauses written that if promoters cannot get me X amount of fights per year a penalty should be paid or the fighter has the option to walk away from the contract.

Bivol is wasting his prime and I doubt Hearn even remebers his name.

 

Bivol is one guy that hasn't improved the last few years, matchroom certainly haven't helped, he'll probably get fed to Buatsi soon.

 

If he has guaranteed money, why should he fight and get a beating?

 

Eddie is keeping Bivol on ice, until he drains him via catch-weight for Canelo in 2022

So simple.

 

Get a beating from who?

 

I mean there are not many boxers who can beat Bivol, but still he will get punched in the face even though he wins. Who wants to get in the ring and get punched in the face when he has guaranteed payment?

Bivol, Beterbiev are no shows. Guys never fight. Please, don't blame their inactivity on Covid. These guys never fought consistently. To bad, guys are extreme talents. Like having a brand new Ferrari, but keep it garaged. SMH

Bivol does not need to be a headline fighter, he can be on the undercard. Matchroom have many fights per year, Bivol can slot into any one of them easily just so he can stay busy and relevant.

 

Beterbiev is fighting in December.
