Canelo is a middleweight. I think what he's done in his career, especially against GGG, has proven his toughness. But fans are getting a little to into the hype if they think he could take a flush shot from Beterbiev.

I'm a bit conflicted about Canelos situation. He's built a career out of facing bigger and bigger competition but I'm almost certain LHW is a step too far. But at the same time he's conquered 168 so whats left but to step up?. If Canelo steps up again and loses to Bivol or an aging Beterbiev then I doubt he would get the credit he deserves for making that step.

Yup, he only looks at the big fights now. He is no longer interested in building superstars.

Funny how he and DAZN were nowhere to be seen today. Hopefully he realised how easily he can be replaced and superstars like Canelo dont really need him so all those back stage bl*wjobs by Hearn to Canelo have bought him zero loyalty from team Canelo.

And when has that troubled Canelo? The only guys that trouble Canelo are slick good defenders. Benavidez has no defense whatsoever, he will get brutally KOd.

Yeah his hands, feet, and reflexes are too fast and sharp, add the movement and it's a wrap

To answer the Bivol question, as much as I'd loved to say he beats Canelo, I just don't see it. The only reason Plant lasted as long as he did without getting KO'd or dropped is due to his extreme orthodox stance, and decent shoulder roll defense. But I knew the moment Plant started losing form and squaring up in the 10th round, it was only a matter of time and it took one more round. Bivol's jab is excellent, but Canelo is also excellent at slipping the jab and landing big overhands over it. Which is exactly what'll happen, and Bivol can only take so many of those flush. Joe Smith Jr. landed once and almost KO'd him, and Pascal had him badly rocked with similar shots. So Bivol fans, I'm telling you right now, don't get your hopes up.

I think his strategy of feeding fighters to the wolves has burned him, Price asked for the Usyk fight and Slick Eddie gave him Chisora on 2 weeks notice knowing he had a wrist injury from sparring rather than letting Usyk face him and AJ get a gameplan from the fight. Funny how Karma works out eventually eh?

This why Lara kept pedaling late in the Canelo fight. Plant started to stand or stop in front of Canelo and try to block or bend. Should've been on his bike, especially when his back touched the ropes. Good fight and good win for Canelo. We'll see what Canelo does next, but a whole bunch of good fights out there, especially if he wants to go to 175.

The Philly Shell is something that Canelo won't ever be able to overcome. That's why I am 1000% convinced that Canelo never beats Mayweather, especially low output Canelo from the 168lb era.

Benavidez does seem to have power though, and strings power shots together in decent combinations. Not sure he hits harder than GGG but, he might have enough to get Canelo's respect and keep him honest.

Beterbiev most defintely has enough power to keep Canelo honest, and potentially KO him - bodywork key there, but would have to avoid the uppercuts that Canelo is highly effective with.

Bivol is a different fight - his jab and judging of distance is REALLY good, so question there is whether he can fight to the gameplan, frustrate Alvarez all night and actually get a decisions, avoiding any bid shots. I think Bivol has the skills, but inactivity is a big issue for him right now.

Loma would look like Usyk at 168. We're talking elite level athletic talents with speed, immaculate footwork, the best skills in the game, A level defence, limitless stamina and a very good chin.

Correct and if he doesn't go to 175lbs, some will claim his ducking but nobody else is held to the same standard.
