Canelo had no trouble touching Lil G up in both fights. Tonight he struggled because of Plants speed, skills and angles.

Smith was a weight bully and deserved to be destroyed by Canelo. Joe Gallagher is also a greedy POS too; acting as both trainer and manager and being purely financially motivated and not preparing his fighter properly or with any gameplan.

You seem to forget that Usyk struggled with Bellew and Chisora, Loma struggled with Linares and beaten by Lopez, Crawford struggled with Kavaliauskas...

You can't make Canelo respect your power. GGG landed bombs and Canelo took them all. And he walked down a killer in Callum Smith without any bother. It wasn't a mistake. It's just an unfortunate reality.

I was impressed by Plants head movement and he did well to take some of the zaps of Canelo's punches up close. He just simply lacks power and his style exerts a lot of energy so he tires out later on in fights.

Plant's head movement and his defensive work impressed me. Canelo's management of his energy levels over the distance impressed me also.

Yes, Plant didn't seem to be effective to me much - and that's one thing you have to really give Canelo credit for - with his bull-neck, and now much closer to his natural weight, he doesn't gas, and makes his opponent look like they are not effective - even if they might be to an extent. He is truly elite in this area, tough, with a complete poker-face, no tells - even against GGG, where he was obviously hurt in places, he was hugely impressive at riding/hiding it.

Honestly, I can't argue that for the fights before Canelo Smith was clearly fighting too light however from what I know of the Smith Clan I think it was more the trainers Gallagher trying to push for cash more than the man himself. Still I am happy to see him finally step up to a more natural weight in LHW and look like he is alive again.

He "struggled" because Plant just came in to survive. Played the turtle defense all night long.

That's either willfully obtuse, or just plain deluded ;)

Billy Joe ate a Clenbomb to the eye that caved his goddamn head in and never looked close to going down, Caelin Plank took a left hook to the side of the head, and he was weebling, wobbling, flipping and flopping around the ring like a ****faced eel escaping from a vodka pickling container and onto an ice skating rink.:sisi1

Hopefully Buddy McGirt brings the best out of Callum. Gallagher was just a glorified mitts man imo. All the Smith brothers left him eventually.

    Give the man his credit.

Even Canelo said he was a difficult opponent.

Yet you fanboys can never give credit where it's due. I bet your scoring was as bad as Steve Farhood's....or did you have it 10-0 to Canelo while waving the Mexican flag in your bedroom?

Canelo started at 140. Where did Usyk start?

You need to chill the **** out and just give Canelo his dues. No other figteris doing what he's doing.

Props to Canelo. Awesome fighter but we saw some limitations tonight.
