Is it time to finally admit that Canelo is one of the best Mexican fighters of all time?

Yes I understand. I've nothing against that. I'm only trying to put JCC's resume in perspective. Because it's unfair to compare it with canelos. A raw comparisson, I mean.

Imho canelo belongs to those kinds of fighters like jcc, salvador sáchez, zárate or morales (sorry, I absolutely love morales... I cant help it)...

What canelo is doing is amazing

The fans that recognized his greatness called it a long time ago. We were 2 of those guys that did.

Khan was a FRAGILE WELTERWEIGHT who fought Canelo at Middleweight.
How about Kirkland? He got knocked out by a journeyman then doesn't fight for a year and then fights Canelo?
Angulo who gets stopped by Lara and then fights Canelo? Angulo was a punching bag.
    Matthew Hatton? Really.

any of those you have mentioned is better than a 5-3-0 guy. Or a 10-10-1 guy. Or a 4-3-1 guy or a....

Because we agree on that, right? do we?

Alot of Canelo haters refuse to give him his due. His skill level is amazing he can be great on defense has good speed and reflexes good power high ring IQ and good chin. He has some flaws sure but no fighters out there can take advantage of them. His resume is great and he's still young. Like I said years ago Canelo is here to stay get used to it.

I get the whole 161826282 titles available. But there’s absolutely no questioning he cleaned out the 168 division. Waxed 160. Beat up a champion at 175. And lineal at 154. And if I’m not mistaken since plant is #2 at 168, this win makes canelo lineal at 168.

so the whole just one belt one champion argument, he’s exactly that at 154 and 168, via the lineal championships. Then there’s the argument that the 172826281 belts nowadays actually makes it harder for people to be True Champions. Being undisputed with all the 4 major belts at 168 means so much more now then. There are countless worthless champions out there, but you can count with your fingers how many are truly undisputed.

He holds the record for most world title fights, 37. Most title fight wins and fighters beaten for title, 31. Most total successful defenses, 27. 2nd most title fights won by ko, 21. I think the pads on record can easily be dismissed when you look beyond total fights.

Oh Canelo is talented that's for sure. But lets not do the 175lb BS- SK was so shot it wasn't funny. It was a cash out fight for him and a chance for Canelo to "win" a title at a different weight class.

    not at all, thank you.

And I'm not denying JCC greatness. I'm not crazy. Ofc he's great. As well as canelo is, that's what I'm saying.

I mean, Canelo's kind of forced himself into the conversation, which is when you have to admit that he probably is, you just don't want to say it outloud. Being undisputed in any division just because of how hard the sheer logistics of it are impressive. That said...it IS the super-middleweight division, and it is absolute trash. He should have been able to slap them all around.

He has improved but his ring IQ is not that good.
Has a very good chin for sure. Has good skills.
But here's an honest question. Would you say Canelo is more skilled then say James Toney at Super Middleweight?
