Floyd wouldn’t have beaten today’s version of Canelo.

You’re talking about 2 different fighters.

He’d get walked down and hurt.

    Floyd wasn’t beating a prime SMW-LHW.

Mayweather was just too good for Canelo. I'm not sure alot changes if he faced this version of Canelo with the experience he has and the development he's made as a fighter.

P4P? Of course Floyd would beat any version of Canelo

@168, you are having a giraffe! Canelo is a different beast after those 2 wars with GGG, and it's very hard to see how Mayweather could last all 12, given the way Canelo walks through shots to land those chopping body shots.

Anyone thinking that Mayweather - who was small for 147 let along 154, could move up another 2 divisions and beat the current Canelo is smoking some good ****.

Don't y'all think if Floyd thought he could have grabbed a belt @160 he would have tried for it? It speaks volumes to me that he didn't try.

The version of Floyd who easily beat Canelo, barely beat Marcos Maidana.

    Think about that.

    Different fighters, with different styles.

One was easy, one was extremely difficult.

Canelo today is a completely different fighter to the one who Floyd saw. Completely different.

Canelo was young and naive, and he gave Floyd too much respect.

Floyd pot spotted him, and Canelo was scared of getting countered and wouldn’t take risks.

This version of Canelo is 30 years old and his in his prime, knocking out SMW’s and LHW’s.

Floyd at 150 pounds isn’t beating the current SMW-LHW version of Canelo.

Canelo would have the huge confidence that he didn’t possess in 2013, and Floyd would obviously have less confidence.

Floyd wouldn’t even fight him at 154, so you’ve got to be kidding yourself if you think he’d have fought and put a schooling on this current SMW version.

Canelo wouldn’t stand off of him. He’d walk him down and hurt him with a power punch. And as elusive as Floyd was, Canelo would land a power punch at some point.

Are you seriously suggesting that due to being more skilled and quicker, that Floyd could have beaten SMW’s and LHW’s?

Floyd is much more skilled and quicker than GGG. He also has a bigger reach. Yet he wouldn’t even have entertained such a fight.

It’s not about that is it.

It’s how they’d have matched up.

Floyd was on a different level to ANY current SMW and LHW.

It wouldn’t mean that he could have beaten them all at 36, weighing 150 pounds.

Obviously now Canelo is too big but 154 and below Mayweather schools him

    Then you’d have lost.

What sort of fantasy world is this?

Floyd could now beat SMW’s and LHW’s at 150 pounds?
