But Canelo did better than you expected because you predicted Plant would win...

Olu is too shameless and blinded by his agenda to even comprehend something this glaringly obvious.

Well that gut feeling and punt fell by the wayside. Not the first and won't be the last.

Still haven't watched this as of yet as we've got family around today. I like peace and quiet when watching so it's early evening viewing for me.

Sounds like Plant put in a good effort.

As a result I give him full credit for his greatness. When things are not going your way and you flip the script you are showing greatness. What I will not accept is people saying Plant did not put up a great fight or spirited effort. If this was not Canelo’s best performance there is a reason why called Sweet Hands Plant. BJS hardly won a round before quitting and Callum Smith won no rounds. Plant was a tricky opponent who was making Canelo missing hit the air a lot like Floyd. The fact he could not keep it to the end shows how great Floyd was.

Not to mention, this was his 60th fight. Normally, at his stage fighters start to fall off. He's picking up.

You don’t need to fix anything for me. I happen to be a fan of both guys. This was the first time I have picked against Canelo since he fought Mayweather and with good reason as he did not fight his best fight as I knew he would not. However the great ones pull it out like he did against Kovalev. I think he is now rivalling Julio Cesar Chavez and Salvador as the greatest Mexicans of all time. Not just beating Plant but the whole body of work. I would like to see him have his deserved rest then take on Benaivides and Charlo next year. I think he deserves to the Fighter of the Year.

Canelo beat a B level fighter and deserves the type of credit you get for beating a skilled but limited (zero power) fighter. There was zero chance Plant was going to win this fight. He fought better than expected and made Canelo look slow and plodding at times. Plant also won more rounds than I expected although I expect the official cards to be in Canelo’s favor as they always are.

No surprises in this fight but it’s clear to any unbiased fans that Canelo has no business in the top 5 PFP list. Usyk is levels higher than Canelo in every area except maybe punching power. He moves his head better, moves his feet asnd has way better stamina. Canelo is a good fighter but I don’t expect to see him fight Beterbiev or Bivol any time soon. Both of those guys beat him but I’m not sure either gets a decision against Canelo if it goes to the cards.

Canelo beats prime Andre Ward. Knocks him out.

i doubt it...Ward is sunch a dirty fighter and a smart fighter that he will find a way to neutrilize Canelo agressions and pressure, and he's bigger, have good stamina, clinch alot, moves well etc.

If Canelo moves down to MW and becomes undisputed there, then moves up to LHW and becomes undisputed there too, where would you rank him all time?
