I think in professional boxing they don't count shots landed, they just judge how much damage the fighters cause. So, you may land 10 pitty-pat punches, but if you're knocked down once you lose the round. But then again, I'm not sure how they score it. A genuine boxing judge should explain how professional boxing matches are scored, otherwise there will be endless debates about the winner of boxing matches in boxing forums.
you create an account 100% dedicated to criticising canelo, and then you complain when people don't take you seriously.
I gave Plant 2-3 rounds. Giving Plant would be over the top. Canelo controlled the centre of the ring and landed better punches throughout.
No way does he have a case for 6 rounds. He was on his bike all night and did little bits of shoe shining with Potter patty shots, most of which hit gloves. He was gradually and systematically broken down.
Hard to take his point seriously when every post you make has such an agenda. Who won what rounds are completely academic now as it ended via a KO. Plant did well. (I personally had him behind) but it’s irrelevant now.
Plant won 2 rounds, there were two close/either way, lost the rest pretty clearly and then got KTFO. Nicking it with the jab…lol
We were watching Plant land nothing but jabs and many of those were caught and parried. We were watching Plant barely throw power shots. We were watching Plant trap Canelo's left hand and hold on for dear life as Canelo put in consistent body work. The fight wasn't very close, wasn't even really competitive, it was more of Plant stalling out the inevitable.
I don't root for any fighter when I watch fights.. I just score based on what I see and I focus on clean effective punching. I don't get excited like a little kid whenever Canelo throws a scuff /missed punched (and the "uts"), like the commentators and many fanboys have appeared to have done. And I don't score rounds based on simply walking forward and not landing punches. What I said about the rounds were true and still stand - 1-4 were low output rounds from both but Plants jab was landing and Canelos body punches were not. These weren't a stiff jabs nor were they a poof pitty jab. This stands as an objective fact. 5, 6, 7 were all very low output but I gave to Canelo as I thoguht he landed cleaner punches. But not much landed in some of these as well. 8 and 9 I also gave to Plant for similar reasons for 1-4. Anyone claiming this was a domination or that Plant only won 2 or 3 rounds clearly weren't watching without bias
Actually I never created the account for the purpose of Canelo.. Its just he's slowly tainted boxing and he's hyped up to he something he's not.. And all you idiots fall for it. I'm writing these posts to at least counter the manufactured fairytale narrative that his fanboys are so willing to follow.. That this guy is p4p worthy
Yes he does have a case for 6 rounds.. Absolutely.. Many of those rounds Canelo won by barely landing anything and just walking forwards.. Plant at least in some of the rounds landed cleaner work
Just flat out wrong. Take your no boxing no life spectacles off and actually watch what lands and what doesn't
