Today’s SMW version of Canelo could certainly pressure and back up a 150 pound version of Floyd who you yourself claim was faded.

At 168 sure he could but not at 154 he couldn't.

Canelo has had no problem "fighting like Maidana" for a while now. And is walking down guys that are stronger than Floyd was, and not gassing out.

What Caleb Plant did and didn’t do has no relevance whatsoever.

Yeah, Floyd was much greater than Plant.

    Obviously.

    And?

    You’re comparing 2 SMW’s with a SMW facing a 150 pound guy.

A SMW version of Canelo who is more experienced, powerful, stronger, heavier, more confident and aggressive, would have backed up Floyd and put him on the defensive.

Or are we going to pretend that a 2013 version of Floyd would have pot shotted last nights SMW version in the same manner?

Not only are you assuming that it would have been the same version of Canelo, you’re also assuming that it would have been the same version of Floyd. Yet it wouldn’t have been.

It’s completely unrealistic to think that Floyd would have fought last nights version of Canelo in the same way.

    It’s a ridiculous assumption.

Those guys aren't pbf and Pbf isn't there to be hit like those other guys. Canelo only throws when he knows those guys have poor defense and he's got a target then he becomes aggressive. Canelo is a naturally cautious fighter who's defensively responsible.

I brought him up, yet its Floyd who actually fought him. Look how easily Floyd dispatched that Japanese kickboxer, who was naturally a smaller weight class. But against a heavyweight dude, despite the difference skill, it was a different fight.

You claim to be a big Canelo fan but how many of his fights have you actually watched?

We’re talking about last nights version.

On a P4P basis, Floyd is a level above Canelo.

    In a H2H fight, it’s different.

There’s guys here claiming that the 2013 version of Floyd who was 36, weighing 150 pounds, would have schooled the SPECIFIC version of Canelo who Plant fought last night.

    No.

    He wouldn’t have.

    You know that.

    The point is:

He’s not going to be cautious against a 36 year old, 150 pound version of Floyd.

Yes, he was back in 2013.

    Not now though.

Not at 30 years old at SMW.

As Floyd’s biggest fan, can you kindly explain it to these guys on here.

There is no need for explanation, obviously Floyd going to be a lot smaller. This is not a proper context. You either compare them in their weight class, or not at all. 168 against 150 is a dull comparison with a obvious result.
