    We're going to do something a little different in this thread.

    Let's start with the obvious before moving on to the twist:

    15 rounds. 1970s rules. Prime Louis vs Prime Wladimir Klitschko.

    The twist is that the poll will ask not just who you think would win, but whether you've had at least one amateur boxing match before. (Note: not just sparring.) People on both sides of these debates often accuse the other side of not having firsthand boxing experience -- basically being armchair boxing historians. We will test that now.

    Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being an armchair historian. I imagine most bookies are, of a sort, and they're usually pretty good at predicting fights. But I want to see whether there's actually a difference in the first place.

    Votes are publicly displayed. If you accidentally answer without realizing that, I've included an "I goofed" option on the poll just in case. (After all, it's none of our business either way whether you've boxed, unless you choose to tell us.)

    I'll go first, to put my money where my mouth is.

    Oh, and feel free to discuss the matchup whether you choose to vote or not.

    This is going to be a good thread, most people are going to hesitate and not answer- it’s easy to lie on the internet but when you publicly say “I boxed” here and your break downs and knowledge consist of gibberish you’re gonna have easy target painted on your forehead. Also to answer the above It’s all in the gym no fights yet but with my modern skills I’d crush James J Corbett the lil thong wearing sissy.

    (With the upcoming amateur fight, that is. I have no doubt about your ability to beat Corbett, since he is only in slightly better shape than Sullivan these days.)

    I've had 10, spar regularly, posted video of myself boxing on here before (which I need to remove lmao) and...

    I don't know who to pick. I've never actually thought about this match up. Both men have attributes that would very much bother the other imo. But I'm veering to Louis due to bias. Logically / stat wise Klit is superior H2H, but we all know about intangibles...

    I don’t need luck I’d like flicker jab and throw like a Tyson uppercut and it would be like over in like a few seconds and I wouldn’t like break eye contact and intimidate him because I’m like bigger but also like imposing people always say I look imposing as if they’re being looked down on by some Godly hawk force that is me yes but I keep it in the ring I would never hurt an innocent with power because like it’s not hard to kill someone these days they aren’t made like me I’m from a like old bygone blood line and like...

    Opponent never showed up so I won by default, then I pulled out due to my busy exam schedule so I'm 1-1 lol.

    I think Louis beats Wladmir if the ref penalized excessive clinching.
