They should do a kumite style event for Canelo He fights Jermell Charlo for six rounds, then Jermall jumps in the ring for the last six. Or 4 rounds with GGG, 4 rounds with Andrade, and 4 rounds with GGG again for the final stretch. Even with this setup I'm not so sure they can beat current Canelo.

3 weeks to get ready? That's a poor excuse. Smith was in the mix for the fight for many months before it was announced. If he wasn't preparing for Canelo until 3 weeks before he is as stupid as he was cowardly in that fight

Too bad CEJ is lazy and unmotivated, all he would have to do is destroy a top 20 SMW and then call out canelo afterwards. The fight would get signed in 30 minutes. That would be another easy showcase fight for canelo and it would sell out in the UK. Hell canelo could probably sell out wembly he has a lot of irish and english fans over there.
I don't think being drunk is the reason anyone rates him tbh. I think it's more the way he ended DeGales career and how he's looked since then. Either way, he's a legit top ten fighter and Canelo has already beaten most of the top ten. In fact he's beaten 3 of the current top 5. If it isn't Benavidez next at SMW, CEJ is as good a fight as any of the others imo. Like I said, a legitimate defence and one I'd certainly watch.
