These type of responses make me question the point in conversing though. Baseless and lacking logic.

    1) I never said Floyd would school this Canelo.

    2) Whether Floyd would even fight Canelo is also irrelevant. I'm addressing IF they fought.
Of course it's unlikely that Mayweather would ever take the fight. So what?

    3) Who cares what Mayweather says.

    4) Golovkin is not Canelo and Canelo is not Golovkin. That Mayweather didn't choose to fight Golovkin at the end of his career has literally nothing to do with Mayweather vs Canelo and thinking it does is an error.

I mean... I suppose people can base their prediction on that Mayweather was hit flush twice by a faster Mosley. Makes about as much sense as the rest of what I'm seeing.

Go get the Chop Chop clip too. No way Mayweather is beating any power puncher now after we see that clip.

If a well past prime WW Mosley could do that to Floyd, imagine what a P4P #1 SMW Canelo who's knocking out undefeated SMW Champs could do.

If feather fisted 140lb Chop Chop could do that to Floyd... at 140... imagine what Pac is going to do to him at welterweight. Ouch!

Respect your views but let's face it Floyd has never been a front foot fighter. One of the best counter puncher's and slick trap setting cleaver boxer's yh get it.

Floyd has never really shown the sort of power that would keep canelo of today at length. Canelo isn't fast enough to close the gap mate he would walk straight through the gap and canelo on the inside has more power very accurate and a chin that's no joke.

Just see it being to much for Floyd if Mayweather goes aggressive gets out gunned going forward. Floyd is tidy but he's not a brawler more a sniper

That just proves how misleading a single fight can be. We all knew that Pacquiao would have destroyed Floyd had they fought when Pacquiao was at his peak. Floyd weakened Pac through ducking and needles, and he weight drained Canelo in order to achieve victory. It's about time we as fans call those wins for what they were, contrived results that Floyd manipulated his way to. This is the fallacy of trying to base what happened when they fought to what could happen if they fought again.

That's weak and you know it. Maidana has a style that isn't suited for a long style and you know it.
Your body can only take do much.
Mayweather was 38 years old when he retired and Marcos was only 33. Big gap.
I like Marcos and was pulling for him but he did not win any of those bouts with Mayweather. He gave a great account of himself but he came up short.
I don't like Mayweather but he is a fistic genius.
People think he would fight Canelo the same way but he would adapt to what would work.
Canelo can only fight Mayweather one way. Mayweather can fight Canelo many ways.

Canelo can only fight Mayweather one way? LOL where do you come up with this stuff?

Canelo would always give Mayweather problems, that's why he went to such great lengths to drain him. He knew he couldn't beat Canelo straight up and still struggled mightily against the drained version of Canelo. Mayweather wouldn't be able to deal with better versions of Canelo.

Exactly how did he "struggle mightly" to beat Canelo?
Was that fight close? Did he hurt Mayweather?
Let me guess. You think Canelo could outbox Mayweather now right?
Canelo asked for the fight. His team signed the contracts. End of story.
