This isn’t exactly about the good men of boxing. This is the best guys for boxing the ones who don’t make a fool of themselves for the sake of WWE fans who make weight and fight the best around and don’t gloat or demean there opponents in the ring.

For example a fighter like Marvin Hagler would be the gold standard. A professional from sole to the top of his bald dome.

He had beef with Leonard and Hearns and is rumored to have done coke while training (as a PED).

Ha! A man so professional that even his rumored drug habit is just to improve his training performance. If he hadn't already qualified for "most professional boxer" before, this would clinch it.

No doubt he read Playboy solely for its boxing articles as well.

The great Alexis Arguello never spoke ill of anyone, even Aaron Pryor who he knew cheated against him.
In fact, Arguello became close friends with Pryor.
Arguello was always known for being the consumate gentlemen.

Maybe there’s things I don’t know but Mickey Ward seems to fit this.

Always brought his lunch pail and hard had. Overmatched or not he gave his best. And never that I saw stopped trying to win even when it looked like he had no chance.

Everything I have ever read about him suggests so, that was until his decline where he admitted he became a nasty piece. Alexis even thanked people for reporting his abusive behaviour in the media when he began to recover.

Of course precluding his life outside the ring otherwise, It seems Carlos Monzon maybe the one ideal answer yet again to another thread question.

Joe Louis fits the bill here, so does Wladimir Klitschko.
