Top tier closed. LOADS of availability in lower tiers. Id say no more than 7000 tickets sold. Eddie will no doubt tell us sales are flying and they've sold over 10k! Guess the days of sticking average heavyweights to headline UK arenas and hoping it does north of 300k PPV buys are slowing. No names for the casual on the undercard either, nobody is buying a ticket to see Lerone Richards vs Carlos Gongora. Liverpool sold out for a reason. Whyte Wallin, Sheffield, the last two warren shows, the Eubank Sky show have all had absolutely embarrassing attendances. Unless its a mega event (ie AJ Usyk) or something with local interest (IE Liverpool/Leeds) I think this is the only way we will see decent attendances.
British boxing had it's boom a few years back with the likes of Brook, Frampton, Froch, Groves, Crolla, Bellew etc. A return to the days of poor crowds and even worse headliners are back unfortunately.
The fight is still 6 weeks away. I think it is a pretty good fight. But not worth £50 for a crap seat.
I think Hearn underestimated how much Sky influenced his fight sales. The football crowd is now being missed out in these fights. Sky Sports News don't talk them anymore either.
Dont think they influenced ticket sales, signs were there imo with Whyte Rivas poor crowds etc. Can't polish a turd end of the day.
Keep selling 'HUGE FIGHTS' which are below average turd and people eventually wake up. Earn is a scammer and people will increasingly notice through time.
Wish people loved talking about actual boxing as much as they did about “numbers”. Every other day there’s a thread on here about DAZN or ticket sales but when there’s a boxing card on Saturday night nobody even knew about it and not a thing was posted.
Hearn is gonna have to tip the driver of the DAZN double decker bus a few quid to drive a couple more times round the block.
These are the fairest comments in the thread. I don't love this main event but I like the card a lot. Paradoxically, as a fan, if not being on Sky means the Matchroom Charlies lose interest in tickets then I'm delighted. The best fight on this card is Buatsi-Vlasov, and they're the types who will only come to their seats in time for Sweet Caroline right before the main event.
