GGG Weight

I kinda see your point. I like GGG, but if Canelo beats him decisively, or even stopped him, he wouldn’t get much credit at this point. Gennady Golovkin is pretty much used up.

 

Not confident enough probably. He's built strong, has a strong chin, is tall enough, and he's fought above 160 about 3-4 times... He was never going to fight Andrade, even Charlo at 160, it was clearly started, so not sure WTF he was doing. Maybe he was just obsessed with the Canelo trilogy, but as soon as Canelo moved up to 168 he should have known all roads to him were on HWY 168. So not sure exactly but I think its a confidence thing, he probably identifies as a "bully" and probably feels at 168 he won't be at a Physical advantage.

 

Because Canelo is filthy rich and to him Money is not the driving force, its his legacy.

There is more to boxing than Golovkin. He beat him, and Canelo decided to be great and do things that have never been done before.

What fighter worth over 150 million dollars is fighting four times a year, moving up and down multiple divisions, fighting some of the top fighters in those divisions, unifying divisions, fighting Champion after Champion cleaning out divisions? Canelo.

Golovkin proved he was only in it for the money, which is great, most fighters are like that, but every now and then you get a fighter who wants to separate himself from the rest and reach greatness.

 

Canelo's legacy is already cemented, 154 champion, 160 champion, 168 champion, 175 champion, undisputed champion, 10 time world champion, fighter of the year, P4P#1.

160 is no better than 168, and I have a hunch Canelo may try to unify 175. If the top 160 want Canelo including Golovkin I assume they can move up to 168 and earn their shot.

 

Agreed, but I think he was always carefully handled, which is why GGG didn't accomplish as much as he could have.

 

I bet Canelo would fight GGG if he's 45 ...

 

Canelo fought GGG twice, when GGG was in his thirties.

But it wouldn't surprise me if 37 year old Canelo fought 45 year old Golovkin in an exhibition bout. Canelo is nice that way.

 

Yep and after the beating he got in the second fight he decided no mas. So much for the trilogy.

I know, I almost felt bad for Golovkin, I think it was the first time in his career where he was getting battered to the head and body, and the second time in his career where he was out landed in power punches. He even stepped away from boxing for 9 months to recover mentally and physically. Very tough fight for the old man.

 

What's the right frame genius? Hopkins had a size 29 waist, Toney was a fat ****, Jones was ripped, Canelo is a short ****. So an extremely strong, very durable fighter who is 5'10" and has one of the best chins in GGG is to weak to fight fighters like Saunders who was a MW, "Skinny Pete" Callum Smith, and feather fisted Calen Plant, or even Canelo who he fought twice already?? LMAO.. Really you fool? lol

Much tougher for Canelo who decided never again. Canelo has a special lackey to check under his bed and in his cupboards before sleeping at night in case GGG is there.

Yeah well, what is Golovkin doing? Oh that's right, nothing, while Canelo is making history. Golovkin is all but forgotten, and all he will ever be is a footnote on Canelo's career, in fact, GGG will be remembered solely for giving Canelo his hardest fights, and nothing more. Cold hard truth.
