There’s no doubt there’s question marks surrounding Adam Smith. Is it likely he’s got questionable material on his laptop? Possibly. Does he bring a spare pair of pants to Joshua fights Incase of an “accident”? Unconfirmed. Are the rumours true he wears stockings whilst bird watching?Again, we can’t say for certain. Despite the allegations and obvious character flaws, I think it’s time Adam was given the recognition he deserves as an ATG boxing broadcaster. Not only has he come out with such gems as “lift of for AJ!”, he’s also stood his ground against Johnny Nelson. Adam, despite having the height, weight and reach disadvantage, slipped his way on the inside of Nelson’s lazy “usyk’s an average cruiser weight” jabs, to land verbal bombs, KO’ing him in emphatic fashion. Adam Smith’s not only an ATG broadcaster, he’s also brave. Is there any broadcaster currently active in his league?
He's a disaster. Did you hear him at the weekend on the Boxxer tournament card? As usual, driving an agenda. Absolutely shocking.
He says questionable things about how a fight is going (to be fair to him he didn't do this for Joshua Usyk), but he has a good voice at the big-action moments, although a tendency to go over the top at times. In that sense I prefer him to Mike Costello.
