Why tf does he keep fighting domestic level British fighters? This is about his 7th one, it is getting beyond coincidence now

Jack Flatley could do okay here! I’ll be rooting for him as he’s local to me, but he’s got a decent record - including a draw with Troy Williamson and he won the English title from Craig Morris.

He’ll be a big underdog but Kerman is hardly unstoppable.

It's just a thought, but maybe Hearn is fattening up Lejarraga to feed to Benn down the line. Hearn will likely sell Lejarraga as a "big punching Spaniard", while conveniently overlooking the fact that the people he's stopped were nowhere near world level at the time.

Lejarraga is now at 154, so if it does happen, it will be because Hearn offered him a good payday to drain himself back down to 147 and come over to the U.K and fight Benn.

So basically, knowing what we know about Matchroom and their penchant for stacking the deck heavily in favour of their fighters, it stands every chance of happening, because Hearn is reluctant to match Benn with top rated Welterweights, much less those who can punch.

Can see it now, Lejarraga drains down to welter, Benn gets the quick UK stoppage (quicker than Ava) and that becomes the Matchroom narrative moving forward.
