I like Canelo to catch Benn coming in quite a bit, but having some rocky patches himself. You never know with Benn’s equaliser, especially when hurt or even on the way down (!), but I’d go with Canelo to grind him down with technical prowess and punch picking to stop him late.
At 168? I'd favor Alvarez. His head movement is brilliant at times and Benns rolling, lunging attacks might not land with enough frequency to allow him to build pressure and Alvarez is a great puncher and on a good run of stopping unbeaten by fighters at the moment. Benn although far from glass chinned could be hit and hurt. Alvarez by late stoppage.
Probably Canelo but you never know with Benn. Canelo has a great chin but Benn hits him harder than he’s ever been hit before
Me too! As for Nigel; ironically the lesser crude 80s Middleweight version of Benn probably has a better chance, than the more refined, technically superior Benn of the Super Middles in the early/mid 90s. A Middleweight fight would probably be real fun, but in both scenarios I go for Alvarez.
