Canelo dropped down from supermiddle in his previous fight to fight GGG. Canelo was a weight bully who out weighed GGG while he fought at 154lbs.

In which case, fair enough. But, it's not a case of 'like it or not'. Boxers can be viewed as good, relevant to the level of opposition they face - and then made to look fairly ordinary when they actually compete with a half-decent opponent (Geale wasn't one of them).

Geale was weight drained and shot when Cotto fought him. He wasn't the same after the GGG fight.

I agree, which is why we didn’t see him steamroll DJ, SD or Clenelo

But he was also on the tail end of his career compared to years prior

Not many had DJ beating him, very few to be precise

He beat Clenelo in terms of the public eye

He may have gotten away with the SD fight

Still, none of this means he was exposed or overrated

    Yes. It was.

Plenty of observers saw it as close, too. It's not this obvious case, that Gee-Gee fans like to make out.

Against Trout Canelo came in fight at 174lbs, GGG never came in that heavy fight night in his career. It's about time Canelo started fighting at his natural weight.

There's a difference between fight night weight and being acclimated to a weight division.
