I was not referring to post-Golovkin Geale. Why would I?

Geale was mediocre at his peak.

True, but he beat Sturm who most thought beat Oscar. Sturm the holder of the super belt at the time.

I'd agree that it does not mean he was exposed. However, age or no age, he looked fine against Wade and Brook - bringing down his usual hammer - but, when he faced better opposition, it put his capabilities into perspective.

Errr - yeah - 8 years earlier, in his prime. Like, how is that relevant to a 33 year old Sturm, who'd been run close by Macklin and Murray already, by the time Geale squeaked a decision win out of him.

Sturm went on to lose to Soliman in his next bout (only for the result to be changed to a NC). His only vaguely meaningful result after that was his KO of fragile Barker (who had in the meantime beaten Geale).

At this stage, all we are discussing here is mediocrity propping up mediocrity.

Sounds like a competitive, wide open division to me.

I asked over one year, that's over, what, 5-6 years? More? It sure as **** isn't the majority over that period.

Beacause you were talking about opponents he "steamrolled" and not even the most rabid GGG fan would claim he steamrolled those two.

Barker injured his back vs Sturm. Then retired.

    LOL
Most of the people had GGG winning both Canelo fights.

Canelo is the one who built his career on robberies and corruption.

I'll have him as an ATG as long as Canelo is an ATG.
Whatever spot you give Canelo, you have to put Golovkin above him.

GGG who was 35 and 36 years old beat a 27 and 28 year old Canelo twice, in close but clear wins for GGG, that's my view.
Everyone has a different opinion but for me Golovkin will forever be better than Canelo, doesn't matter what Canelo does.
Canelo is a tremendous boxer but Golovkin has 2 wins over a prime juiced Canelo.

you can ask derevyanchenko, I'm sure he will gladly answer you. Or jacobs, he will pretty sure be glad to answer too.

The first canelo fight could have gone either way.The second one was a close but clear canelo victory.

Those are the only 3 living bodies that gg has fought in his whole career. A defeat, a robbery and a dubious victory.

    Great legacy dude,
