Lewis knocks him out in 2 - 3 rounds. Usyks punches are not going to make a dent on him and no pity paty beta jabs and that laughbale upright Euro boxing style like AJ, Lewis roughs him up Usyk, leams on him, headlocks. And once Lewis hurts him its curtains. He is the best finisher in HW boxing history. Golota, Bruno, Grant, Rudoock etc know what its about.
Look at the mythology. Before the AJ fight it's understandable people would pick Lewis. Usyk was unproven against SHW's. Now Usyk has shown he can handle power of that level (AJ's power would be very similar to Lewis's, if not greater) and navigate the reach problem. Lewis was not some endurance fighter and not the technical master people pretend. He looked downright sloppy in many fights and his engine looked garbage. If Usyk boxes smart he can absolutely beat Lewis. And given Lewis' chin is AJ level at best, we can't rule out Usyk hurting and stopping Lewis.
If Usyk was orthodox, then Lewis for sure. But there is a reason Lewis ducked southpaw fighters his whole career. And whats the chance Lewis to suck Usyk when he ducked Byrd and even drop a title?? But Lewis and Vitali are goat in h2h ranking. And again this aint prime Usyk as well. Look for the Gassiev and his WBS matches. That was his prime. And AJ tactics were smart and the best he could choose from. People are just too dumb and doesn't have boxing knowledge to understand why. He wasnt there to try to outboxing Usyk, this is Hearn excuses. He tries to countering him, just like he did with Povetkin and when he land something big to finish the fight.
Like he has knocked out Zeljko Mavrovic who was smaller than Usyk (same height but 7 pounds lighter)? Wait, he didn't even come close to knocking skinny Croatian down while Mavrovic's chin wasn't proven at all (unlike Usyk's one). Zeljko's resume was beyond atrocious with cruiserweight Vincenco Cantatore being the biggest puncher he has faced in his whole pro career before facing Lennox. Usyk's chin was well tested by huge and hard-hitting heavies like AJ and Chisora (not a huge, but definitely respectable puncher), as well as murderous punching cruiserweights like Gassiev and Briedis. Oh, and Huck, Glowacki, Hunter could punch as well. Add here his WSB fights against Joyce, Majidov and Nistor where his chin was tested by hard-hitting heavyweights. And I'm not even saying how much better boxer is Usyk comparing to Zeljko Mavrovic - they are light years apart in boxing abilities. And Usyk is far more proven against giant heavyweights (AJ, Joyce) than Lennox was ever proven against southpaws and great movers at the pro level. The last southpaw Lennox has fought was Alex Miroshnichenko in the amateurs, and Miroshnichenko kicked his ass, scoring a knockdown with a body punch and easy points victory. How many times Lennox Lewis has fought decent (let alone good) southpaw in his pro career? ZERO! How many times Lennox fought elite movers in his pro career? ZERO! How many times Lennox fought anybody with Usyk's stamina? ZERO! I'm not saying Usyk would definitely beat Lennox, who was a dangerous opponent for anybody at the top of his game. I would probably even favor Lennox sligthly (as for now) to score a close points victory in such a fight, assuming Lennox comes at his absolutely best shape. But Usyk would definitely be a very live underdog here to say at least
That's faulty logic. How many women did Lewis beat? Does this mean every woman beats Lewis in a fight? This whole idea of Lewis being bad vs southpaws or ducked southpaws is pure fantasy, not based on actual facts but pure conjecture and mental gymnastics to try and create a weakness where one doesn't exist.
Nobody is saying that good mover would definitely beat Lennox (although I would favor Ali and Holmes heavily against any version of Lennox)... Or good southpaw for that matter. But, the fact is that Usyk is far more proven against good/decent huge guys (bigger than Lewis actually) than Lennox was proven against southpaws or good movers. That's a fact just to counter the assumptions that Lewis would definitely beat Usyk because of his size.
Holyfield and Mercer gave Lewis problems so I don't see why Usyk wouldn't also. The qualifier with Usyk is he's only had 4 hw fights.
I love Usyk and was so happy to see him beat Joshua.... But most people on here have been shitting on AJ for years. Not only that, but AJ fought with one of the worse gameplans he could have picked against Usyk. He didn't try to bully the Ukranian at all....and now Usyk is being matched up with a top 3 ATG heavy?
