Curious to see I see the rumour, this would be an easy fight to make because it's Canelo's choice and Beterbiev would be up for it. for me, it feels like Oscar vs Hopkins. I'd go with Beterbiev
canelo shreds him. too slow, too static and a defense unfit for these levels. i think he will look like a punching bag against a guy with canelos timing and countering ability. i would give him a better chance if canelo wasnt as solid at taking punches as he is. cause canelo will catch a punch on and off from beve, but i dont think they will be enough to turn the tide.
Canelo beats the crap out of Beterbiev. Too robotic, static and has suspicious chin. Beterbiev has punch power though. If Canelo feels this, he will fight at back foot and outboxes him.
Beterbiev had covid and is coming up on the wrong side of thirty at age thirty six. Canelo hinted at taking some time off so you figure five or six months from now his next fight is announced and most likely won't be Beterbiev. Canelo will age him out and see how he does from the stands most likely before challenging him. For examples of this see Canelo v GGG, Canelo v Kovalev. If Beterbiev is his actual next fight I'm sure there will be behind the scenes catchweight, rehydration, clenbuterol testing optional clauses. Canelo is a brand that is based on winning and a huge financial investment for too many important people to be allowed to lose.
Beterbiev's punch resistance is perfectly fine. The KD versus Page was due to Beterbiev being off balance and the knockdown against Johnson is justifiable since Johnson has great power.
Current Canelo hits hard. However, I don't expect KO from Canelo. Canelo wouldn't take a risk and outboxes him at his back foot.

Canelo would win. He’s much better than Beterbiev and is gonna squeeze out any advantage he can. Biev looked horrible in his last bout and Canelo’s gonna wait him out longer and make sure he’ll be even worse by fight night. I’m pretty sure Biev will give in to Canelo’s demands. Even he has to realize his age and physical state, I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to bend over if it means a huge paycheck.
