i find this type of self medicating hilarious. everyone is afraid to take a challenging fight for fear of losing out on a date with canelo, but its canelo who is waiting them out. beterbiev and bivol pretending the other dont exist, just like kovalev didnt exist. the perfect champs for the participation trophy generation, lol. canelos name being tossed around as an atg while these guys keep digging up cans for participation points. its just so ridiculous it makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.
LOL you would think fans would be demanding that Beterbiev and Bivol fight each other next. Instead they want Canelo who just became undisputed at 168 to forget about what he just did and move up a weight class to fight them. Canelo has done things that fans have been dreaming about all their lives. He continues to set the bar for all other fighters. Why do you think Teofimo wants to pose with him, Canelo is a mentor and a role model to these young fighters. He's come up the hard way, from the mean streets of Guadalajara. He fought his way into the spotlight. Most importantly Canelo has led by example. A lot of people talk a good game, but Canelo does his talking in the ring and his accomplishments speak for him.
This is actually a really good point, we should be demanding Bivol vs Beterbiev. Canelo has just reached that level where he’s all anyone can talk about
I would make Beterbiev the slight favourite here. He hits like a truck and would look to land anywhere on Canelo to slow him down. I also think Canelo has reached the limits of how far up he can go in weight and be elite. I think 175 is a bridge too far.
didnt you hear, its canelo that needs to clean out 175 if hes really all that. bivol and beterbiev got nothing to prove, you can just tell theyre all that from the eye test. i mean look at em, what more do you need? wanting them to fight each other is just plain hating, get that hate out your heart.
AND even if he does defeat both of them plus Joe Smith Jr and Benavidez, he still won’t be top 20. Beterbiev and Bivol are nothing compared to the great Virgil Hill that Hearns fought. Besides, Canelo lost to Mayweather. What kind of old school great ever lost? Lol
Canelo in a razor close fight where he takes alot of damage. I don't see Canelo getting KOed, but his low output COULD cost him if he doesn't KO Beterbeiv. Obvs the longer it takes to make also better for Canelo.
Canelo via KO/TKO. If he can take Beterbiev's power, then Beterbiev is a sitting duck & a KO waiting to happen.
Canelo fans are hilarious. Canelo wouldn't even win with a rehydration clause in place. There's a reason why he wants a catchweight with Bivol and Beterbiev but wilfully moves up a weight class for Kovalev.
