I’ve just got in from a stag do and I can barely speak but I couldn’t think of 2 funnier people to lose. Game changed.

 

Didn’t even realise he was fighting but it’s made me laugh.

 

This was worse plus Brooks eye dramatically changed from the stool and then 2 mins later. Plus at least Brook could still actually move and knew where he was. Galahad probably didn't even know he was put down.

 

Ive just seen the DAZN official highlights on YouTube, quite like that highlights package of the full card they put up.

I think Galahad was hurt but that shot at the beginning of the sixth was arguably enough to knock him out even if the fifth round KD didn’t happen.

As for the Harper stoppage, that shot that stood her still was frightening. Very scary KO.

Also noticed that Ingle basically turned his back in disgust when Galahad was knocked out cold. Pretty poor that that was his first instinct rather than to rush the ring and check on his fighter.

 

I noticed the ingle thing right away. Maybe he had hopes of some big earners off of kid the next year or 2.

 

Yeah defo. Totally furious and couldn’t hide it.

 

Nothing unusual about that.

Good card with a major upset. I never saw Kiko winning. Fair play to him, no one can say he doesn’t deserve it.

 

Bellew had been kidnapped by Matchroom and told to toe the Matchroom party line in order to secure his release and ensure that he could get home safely to the wife and kids.

Don't be too hard on Bellew: he really had no choice in the matter.

 

For all the criticism beforehand it ended up being a decent show. I’m shocked at Barry, really didn’t see that coming.

It’s laughable that those who were saying it was a mismatch are now calling for the matchmaker to be sacked!

 

Kid Galahads reign lasted just 14 weeks (98 days)

 

Only just realised he struggled to make weight. Wonder if that was a problem. Will he move up or activate a rematch?

 

Yeah that Harper fight reminded me of Price Vs Povetkin, she wasn't spark out standing upright, superb refereeing and he deserves a lot of credit throwing himself in the middle of them.

Harper won't take the rematch, she isn't winning a rematch, she'll get more of the same.


As for Galahad, two great shots from Kiko, I agree the second shot in the 6th was a peach. I think that rematch happens, will be interesting to see the betting odds.

 

I initially thought weight may be a factor, as I heard Dom Ingle mention recently that a move up would be ideal at this point in Barry’s carreer, or words to that effect. But, saying that, they were cracking punches he caught Galahad with. They looked to have some weight behind them.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if they do a rematch as Galahad will want his belt back and revenge. It’s a bigger more interesting fight second time round after that result.
