If what you've said is true, then when you factor in stuff like the cost of renting the arena, the cost of promoting the show and the money that Parker and Chisora will both be getting, then you would think Matchroom are fixing to lose a fair chunk of money on the show even if they can sell all the tickets for the low level at face value.
Fast Car is trying his very best to prove us all wrong in that regard. Trying, and failing miserably.
If it ain't broke don't fix it but fast car is always chasing the faster buck, be it dazn or fights in front of Arab cloth heads.
Is there a US show Dec 18th? Seniesa Estrada just announced on the DAZN dazn show tonight she will be fighting on DAZN Dec 18th.
Definitely. There's just no interest no anymore outside of Joshua and Fury. There's no real PPV talent to speak of.
I dont really understand why he wouldnt be considered a contender. Gave usyk a better fight than joshua. Wobbled parker with his very first punch. Should have got the win against whyte the first fight. If parker and whyte are contenders...so is derrick. Its cool to hate chisora atm...but hes a lot better nowadays than people give him credit for on here. The last 3 or so years chisoras been an absolute handful for everyone.
He hasn't beat anyone though?granted he has looked better in that time but lost every time Wins put you in contention or at least they should ,not a few moments per fight Even Del wouldn't call himself a contender He is gatekeeper and a happy one as its paid him a fortune
Dereck Chisora is not better nowadays than he was years ago. That's the spin that was put on him, to justify him being made a "PPV" fighter in these last few years, with snake oil salesmen Haye and Hearn etc. and all the SKY pundits being quick to spread that line. He is a decent gatekeeper, a very good test for most top fighters, still, even though he is old now. But he's not better now than he was 5 or 10 years ago.
Disagree. For my money chisoras on something. He has been in recent years. Hes now stronger...hitting harder...and his stamina,s better. Hes still gassing in fights but the pace he sets is relentless throwing big shots pretty much from start to finish. Even the fittest of them would gas. Your saying hes a gatekeeper...and yet hes one or two wins away from challenging for a title. Unlike the rest of them tho...hes not really interested in winning belts more just making the most money...taking hard fights to do it tbf.
