He wasnt ready 3 years ago, but now he is. I feel like Munguia has improved enough that he can beat GGG at this stage, make it happen.

Let's see how GGG will fight Murata

I would still favor GGG over everybody at that weight, but Maybe age is already affecting his reflexes

Physically he's ready and he was putting his combinations together well last night, but he's still a bit green.

A lot of the fight he was just trying to punch through the guard, no guile, no feints.

GGG, while older than Rosado, is a lot lot stronger and even if Munguia managed to put him on the backfoot (unlikely), GGG has a great defence.

But Munguia could improve further and add more wrinkles by time they fight.

Honestly the time is now. GGG isnt going to fight charlo or Andrade, so he should fight the guy he was trying to fight 3 years ago in Munguia. Difference is, hes not a baby anymore. Munguia can beat him, but he will have to elevate his game to new heights to do it. I think he gets it done, especially right now.

I'd be chuffed to see that fight. Assuming GGG hasn't slipped and still has something in the tank (which we will see against Murata) I think Munguia would be a great fight for both of them. Munguia is better than when the commissions nixed their first fight and Golovkin is older. Let's be honest, Golovkin would have blown him away back then, but now? Not so sure. If Munguia beats GGG it will be a huge feather in his cap and if Golovkin manages to beat Munguia it will be a win that will age well because Munguia is getting better fast, and I expect him to keep getting better. Plus, I think their styles would give us a potential FOTY.

No Munguía needs one more fight against the greener belt holders
Either Andrade or Charlo, then he will be ready for GGG.

Golovkin is 40 years old. it's not fair to match a 40 year old boxer with a 25 year old.

Munguia should fight the likes of Charlo, Andrade, Crawford, Canelo etc.

GGG-Murata is going all 12. Which means, given his age, his next fight won’t be before next fall. So Munguia has enough time to get at least 1 fight in the mean time, and he’s the #1 guy on WBO rankings.

Why not Munguia vs Andrade next?

There are two senses of ready, ready to win or ready to get a valuable (but painful) education.

I think he's the second kind of ready right now, I'm not sure if one more fight would make him the first kind of ready next year.

Three years ago he wasn't ready in either sense. He's come a long way since then.

i think he is ready to win
    Against either Charlo or Andrade.

Which would prepare him the best to face Golovkin before he retires. (Still not enough time, I know, but better then if he faced him next, needs experience vs a champion)

One more fight is the only real window he has.
    Golovkin will likely retire soon.

Munguia might have too much of an engine for the old war horse these days. I’d like to see it happen.

I’d be up for that one too. Hopefully SD can win his next fight coming up and they can make something happen.
